I mean the proof is in the pudding. Interest in TWW has already cratered after a few months. If TWW was the only version for 20 years would anyone stay? No. Retail only survives on constant expensive updates, because the base game is weak and survives on novelty seeking. Classic has been the same for 20 years and still has a ton of interest, because it’s a fundamentally more well-designed game.
