The cap where we will begin getting anima for souls will apparently be at the “all the souls you’ll ever need” point, which is over 200. It appears the 100 cap was just a decoration and we will keep gaining souls until that larger cap.
That’s…a lot. I think the vast majority of players are not spending that much time a day doing WQs.
That doesn’t sound right. Maybe 2k? 3k at most.
I’ve been capped for several weeks on two toons. I spent anima on gear upgrades instead of things that cost souls. Tbh, the shouldn’t make souls a currency unless you can hold more and spend them on something .
Sorry, but no, you are not getting 5k anima PER DAY from doing all the anima WQ. If it were that easy to get 10k anima after two days of doing about 20 quests no one here would be complaining.
Did you mean per WEEK?
If you’re Venthyr you need 60 of them a day to do all your Broken Mirrors.
You start noticing the cap real quick then.
Yeah I’m about to overcap on souls now because I don’t have enough anima for my next Sanctum upgrade. I do multiple missions daily and several world quests, weekly quests, world bosses, etc. But even doing missions costs anima so I just haven’t saved 12k anima - but the souls, it hurts that I’m going over already.

I came here because I just realized there is a cap on redeemed souls. I am sitting at 84 and the 20 soul weekly is available. I have been saving anima to upgrade the queens conservatory. I need about 12.6k anima to get level 5. I have been averaging around 3500ish anima per week. So my only two options are to waste 60-80 souls over the next three to four weeks, or burn 5k anima on sanctum upgrades that I don’t want, as to not waste souls. Why the seemingly arbitrary cap? Souls are gated behind a weekly quest, a player cannot farm more than the weekly to gain an advantage. I agree with OP here, and it is unfortunate to see this was posted on Jan 31 and there seems to be no intent to remove or adjust the cap.
As I ponder this dilemma, there is no way I am burning 5k anima on something I don’t want. So i’ll only get 16 souls for this week, and ignore that quest until i can upgrade to level 5. This feels like a problem because now there exists current content (albeit a single quest) where the greatest reward to me as a player is to NOT complete the quest at all.
Pretty sure there is no cap. I’m sitting at 148/100 so… ya
Excellent. Thank you for the clarification.
whelp i guess there is a cap after all. i hit 104 souls two weeks ago. i’ve collected 20 souls last week and this week and i am still at 104. not sure why you were able to get to 148, but i am not as fortunate
