The game is still here though. You can come back any time you want. Maybe the next patch will be one you really enjoy. Or maybe the next expansion will be.
The game has low points for all of us.
In 8.3 the only thing that kept me playing was that i decided to main a vulpera so my new charater was a blank slate. Otherwise i would have unsubbed because that patch was a dumpster fire. Here i am loving this patch.
Its not all doom and gloom.
Go enjoy FF if that games your thing and wow will be here should you wish to come back

They have been listening and reducing that.
In legion and BFA there was the AP grind that was infinate and tied into your power.
In shadowlands they changed it so the grind is 2 short weekly quests (which have catch up) and torghast.
Torghast shows they were listening by putting a weekly cap on it so you couldnt just grind it out.
But they also gave it no catch up. They kinda failed there as it means you have to do it each week with no exceptions. At least its short.
And then in 9.1 they made torghast a lot easier for those who dont like it.
It doesnt seem too out there to think in the next expansion there will be no content like that without the catch up

I feel the same way. Ffxiv is more of a place to be and have fun at. WoW is more of a thing to do, an esport with all the toxicity that comes with it, where nothing really is meaningful

I really feel this post. I do. I have unsubscribed as well and am not playing at all. I dropped by here because yes like you said it’s sad. I have moved on myself though not FFXIV. However the game I’m playing (and I won’t use this post to advertise) is bringing me great joy. I’m actually happy to log in. I feel your pain. Once you get deeply involved in the new game you will find happiness. I did. Good luck in your journey. I played FF for about a year. The story is totally amazing!! Have fun

It doesn’t matter which game. I feel like anything at this point is better. They’ve lowered the bar so deep, I’m surprised wow still even exists.
