I honestly thought the series was about a literal red Dwarf. This wasn’t helped by The Young Ones which featured… a literal red Dwarf(which I thought was a parody of the show in question).
With that all said… I did like the episode where they went to meet the show creator/author

I was very young when my sister got me into red dwarf. I couldn’t stop doing Dave’s accent. Even though that line was cool (ace) rimmer lol.
I don’t mean to dox myself lol (not that I’m worth worrying about anyway), I have the same name as Dave except spelt differently lol (I’m David not Dave, although Dave is short for Dave and Lister, I have a y instead of the i). It’s quite funny the Kryten sig I have is addressed to my name / daves name lol.
My older sister went to the signing so many years ago and got it signed for me. One of my most cherished items.
I remember when I had my endoscopy many years ago, I think the doc was trying to mess with me. He goes so you know red dwarf? I was oh yeah! Then I fell sleep lol. After that, I was trying to find out who the doctor was and couldn’t get in contact with him lol.

Yeah I can actually relate lol. Only tv I’ve watched is disney+ “watching” futurama and family guy again when I’m healing lol. Mostly listening than actually watching haha.
