This is a very good suggestion. I came to the forums to make a post for our guild. Putting people looking for a guild mixed in with guilds looking for people is a real hodge-podge. What a mess trying to sort it out.

Every week more and more guilds close - when those guilds close there are only so many open opportunities for those players to find guilds. Not to mention every time a guild closes I’d bet at least one person takes a break from the game due to the tedious process of finding a new guild.

Another category for guilds and players on the forums would help guilds find recruits easier and help players find guilds easier. It makes sense!

You’ll probably help keep some raiders subbed longer which will pay for however much it’ll cost you to implement the change.

You will also keep more people active on the forums. The wow forums have to be the first place guilds and players go looking for a guild - because it’s the official forums for the game!

Sieara runs an amazing recruitment discord and you guys should give her a job! Guaranteed she keeps raiders playing this game and staying subbed longer through her insane amount of community building.

And considering how important it is for the core part of their game, they should. Happy raiders play more wow and don’t unsub.

I’m late to the party, but I agree this would be extremely helpful.

The easier it becomes to experience this game as a solo player, the harder it becomes to keep a casual raiding guild together. I’ve been at it for 12 years now, and I can honestly say it has never been harder to recruit or retain players than it is right now. The current format of the forums only compounds the problem; there are so many guilds posting and bumping recruitment threads that players who are actually LFG get lost in the shuffle.

I had a day off of work and all I did was refresh the forums and recruit.

Agreed! As a Co-GM and recruiter for our guild it is a pain to sift through guilds recruiting VS players needing homes. This would be most helpful!
