Thank you Blizzard, I am sorry you had to work on your weekend because some one wanted to bring down the classic servers.
I’m about tired of kids that have nothing better to do than ruin peoples weekends.
Any possible gain from Ddosing is thwarted when doing it to a large company like this. I can’t think of any gain other than a “troll” wasting money on buying one to do this.
Imagine a moron dumb enough to ddos a company that could put you in prison for along time, as well as fine you more than what you make in years of normaly living conditions.
And you risk it all, just for a day(s) worth of “trolling” What an absolute moron.
I hope he cries in a dark cell.
Also all of you that keep saying “hacker” need to be educated, because you are ignorant. There is a big difference between hacking and ddosing. Your accounts are fine, its just the servers hosting the game are being attacked and not allowing us to log in.

The caption on the realm status page says “whether or not a realm is up or down.” that doesn’t sound like it relates to population. If it is population related, they need to change that confusing wording because as it reads, I would assume it literally says if the server is up (active) or down (inactive). They are showing a sea of green servers which is just not accurate.
From someone who’s been here for 15 years with you as a company, and has spent $10,000 of thousands of dollars on you this shouldn’t have happened in the first place, put the protection in and stop it from happening. Your making enough money off all of us to do so … PERIOD . No excuse or reason to even reply. FIX YOUR PROBLEMS, or hire the right people to do so.

Did you read the TOS? No? Go read it, there is a part that mentions they are not liable for events such as this. They can’t just predict someone is going to do this type of thing and when, they have to respond accordingly. You can’t play WoW for one day? Okay go see a movie, find a boyfriend or girlfriend, go for a walk, do something other than keep clicking log in just to get mad.

This is hilarious… You’re a huge game developer, how are you of all people not able to stop a Ddos attack?
I get you can’t predict them, but there ARE ways to go after it when it happens and stop it. Such as shutting down all servers or realms and figure out the source of the attack.

What a completely ridiculous reason to unsubscribe, how long have the servers been down? You are totally free to leave, but that’s just such an over reaction right now. When you calm down and realize oh the servers work again, you’ll be on and most likely just sub again. Don’t jump to a tantrum so fast.

Youre a smart one arent you, we should all bow to you and do what you say, oh wait. They’ve already did both of those things, and are still being attacked, they even changed the IP’s to each realm multiple times and it keeps going down. You cant protect yourself from a ddos attack, Ddos protection literally only tells you when one is coming. You cant actually stop them completely.

Because weekends aren’t the only time many people actually have to play or anything, and because many guilds don’t schedule their biggest activities on the weekends.

So what? It will happen. Move on with your life and do something to take your mind off of the game for a few hours or even the day. But no, you don’t want to do that. Be careful you are showing signs of addiction and you need to control it. Don’t end up on Dr. Phil as the WoW addict.

Yup, can make it to the character select screen but when I attempt to load in it says “World Server is Down”
