I’ve reached out in any event to the contacts that MVPs have, but it’s sounding more like this might have been a legitimate survey. I’m sure we’ll hear otherwise if a blue replies here though.

It’s a real survey. I got one several days ago to the email address I use only for WoW. I’ve never received anything else to that address ever.

Just to touch back on this, we’ve received confirmation that they have indeed included some in-game surveys with a recent patch. This way you don’t have to log out or try and trust some email.
This is not something that could be “hacked” either since it’s a pop-up in-game (not a message from a fake player or something like that) but a feature built-in.
It is within the UI, which I don’t believe can be mimicked or hijacked by other players.
As Perl mentioned, it is a legitimate survey, it was a functionality that was added with with the most recent patch.
When I clicked it, it said the survey was not available at this time. So just a tad buggy, went and used the link I saved for it since it didn’t pop up again in game and it worked later.
I can trust you a bit, but I still have my doubt towards it.

They always say that, or at least all the ones I’ve ever done do. While I can only speculate about why, it could be that they are trying to gather data from a specific demographic of players and that’s why the surveys aren’t posted about as a massive general population one.
The fact that they almost always get leaked in some way is another matter.
Well, only did that cause it looked sketchy to me, if I did break any rules, I apologize for it, but definitely will keep my opinion out of it though.
