Received an Survey

So I logged into my warrior half an hour ago, and notice this this Survey link I received, and assumed it was an hacker due to his bad grammar. Under (Qualtrics Survey)

Could possibly be a new way of a phishing scam maybe? I’m uncertain, if it was a whisper, report it, and let Blizzard investigate.

Just out of curiosity, where was the survey link? You mentioned it showed up after logging into your warrior. Was it a message in-game? If so, yeah, that would likely be a phishing attempt.

If it was via e-mail, I’d still be cautious, but we might be able to see if it was legit.

Any possible way to send a photo of the scam? When it said something about a survey, I clicked yea to survey, and it bought me to a link, and the grammar looked awful

Was it sent via whisper? If it was, then it is a possible phishing scam.

If Blizzard was to sent you a survey, then they would sent it via email. (Unless you recently had a ticket where a survey would appear above your buffs near the map on the top-right of the screen.)

No it was not, it was like any other WoW GM Survey on the top right corner as any other, but when the link open, looing at their grammar was awful

Well, then that is a survey into your recent experience with a ticket and your interacting with the GM’s. No other player can cause that to appear.

Had you recently put in a ticket?

You can upload it to an image hosting website (such as Imgur) and then copy the URL to the image in your post. However, you will need to enclose the URL in punctuation in order for it to show if your Forum Trust Level is not high enough to post links or images.

That will allow the whole URL to be posted (albeit without the ability to click it directly). It will look similar to this:

www.worldofwarcraft.com

Then anyone wanting to visit the link can merely copy/paste your link.

No, I should right now, I didn’t click anything. What it said at the end was and I quote “Do you agree to keep this survey and all of its contents completely confidential?” and the options were “Yes, I agree” or “No, I don’t agree” I didn’t click on anything, I just X’d it out

I’m not aware of any such windows that would come up like that. I’ll poke around and maybe a Blue will be able to shed a little light!

That doesn’t really look like it was in-game. Just wanting to make sure I totally understand where it showed up. Was it after you logged into WoW or in the launcher or possibly on the website?

It showed up after logging in, but I didn’t click on nothing but exiting out the website when it said something about it being “confidential” and plus the grammar was awful, I assume it’s a hacker and probably is a hacker.

That’s generally how Blizzard Surveys look and are and always have the “do you agree to keep it confidential” and will sometimes be sent by email or in game (not a whisper but a UI pop up similar to your ticket has been resolved etc).

And Qualtrics Survey is where the Blizzard surveys are done.

My last Blizzard Survey from that site was November 2025 looking at my web browser history.

Edit: To go into further detail usually if it’s sent from a email you go to the Blizzard Research Portal (which you will see that survey there if you go to your Blizzard Research Portal) then when you are actually answering the survey you are sent to Qualtrics.

Here is a Battle.net Article on the Blizzard Research Program.

Yea I will not believe it, due to the grammar they have put out.

Ya sometimes the grammar on the surveys aren’t the best.

But the support link I posted will have a link to the Blizzard Research Portal where you can confirm if it’s an actual Blizzard Survey.

Also if you don’t want to participate in surveys you can turn that option off in your account.

So, your image doesn’t show poor grammar, so I’m wondering where that part is coming from too. Is it the actual survey?

Due to the punctuation mark of “It’s” it’s misspelled as “Its” (I am mostly a Spanish speaking person). My reason, why out of everyone else would they choose me to take a survey, when it’s not even underneath the Blizzard’s website, so I know for a fact it is not their survey. No point of me taking it. But I thought it was the right thing to do and put it out because it sounds sketchy.

ITS is a possessive pronoun and is spelled correctly.

IT’S is a contraction of IT IS or IT WAS depending on tense.
