Yeah, and ML works just fine, even in it’s PuG-able form.
You’ve given no reasons why ML can’t be allowed in guild groups, merely reasons PuGs could abuse it in the past.

damn, i wish classic had more free-loot pug runs. Even pugs have dumb limitations and i just want to roll on everything
He never said it was being abused. He said something about trials being on probation for loot, which honestly I haven’t seen in the mythic raid scene ever, and haven’t seen in the raid scene since probably MoP. Ion has a jaded sense of what guild raiding is because he’s been in the same guild and raiding with the same people for 15 years. A lot has changed, you need your good trials geared up as fast as possible if you want to progress.
Yeah Blizzard also had all of the data on M+ but didn’t think they needed to look at trash data for tuning (they actually said this). Meanwhile Shadow of Zul is over there destroying King’s Rest keys.

The people organizing it want a specific rare piece. I’m fine with either not getting a chance at it (since most reserved I don’t need), or not joining that group.
It’s their group. They get to set the rules.

No, this forum is for meaningful choices, like choosing whether you want to suck at M+, Raiding or PvP.
Choosing how you gear your own circle of guildies and friends clearly isn’t meaningful enough for the forums to defend.

Yes, because his dislike of a bad system that rewarded luck has anything to do with his desire for a system to allow guilds more control over loot again.
Most guilds would still run PL, it’s just easier.

This is a strawman and isn’t accurate. It’s extremely unlikely he’d ever group with the casual when ML is even able to be used, and it’s even less likely he’d be the ML.
