Rearranging and Removing Portals

Generally it’s not easier, their usual problems are abilities that one shot or do excessive damage and can take a long while to finally get fixed.

The scary part (don’t know the numbers on this last part) is the ratio of the customers who speak up against something they dislike and the customers who simply leave.

There have been studies, enough that numerous customer service companies can state specific numbers and figures. On the value of customer retention, of employee retention. Things like that.

I’ve forgotten most the numbers that were drilled into my head when I did CSR work years ago. That’s one of the few numbers that stuck.

If I had started playing Warcraft games from MoP and later, I would have quit a long time ago. I fell out of love with Warcraft during MoP, but WC2 --> Cataclysm and its memories is what has kept me around. If I had never played during that era, I would have probably popped in and out like I did SWTOR and never looked back.

You sure ask alot of questions

The only reason why I’m still playing is because of the friends I have made in WoW. They keep me reasonably sane these days. Whenever I’m feeling down, I know I can count on them to help me get through a rough patch.

As any true and loyal fan should want.

If you love your brother/sister/husband/wife/etc, you’ll tell them when they’re about to do something bad and unhealthy. You’ll try and correct the mistakes they’re about to make.

Because you care about them.

The real question is why would someone be so obessed with a discussion about portals being removed when theyve pretty much admitted that the removed portals dont affect their game EITHER way.

Well I’m out of popcorn for the night (really I eat it all). The troll and White Knight responses have given me a night of entertainment! Please continue, I will catch up on the buffoonery tomorrow!

I literally nearly puked in my mouth reading this joke.
Its not only the worst, its below the standards of many free2play games.

It has the largest amount of content of any expansion, it has the best raids and the best dungeons, it experimented with new mechanics like Island expeditions and warfronts, it kept the successful worldquest model of legion, It has great cinematic, interesting narrative, the largest number of new races ever added to an expansion, it improved over the M+ systems of legion, warmode is probably the best thing ever added to pvp, what is there not to like about it?

Do you think that a weird itemization and a few nitpicks will undo all that?

Never seen a coherent argument against it and this leads me to think that all boils down to “I’m extremely burned out of this game that I play for decades and I’ll find any excuse to justify my newfound distaste”.

Not even a good try. ‘change’ does not = ‘destroy old expansions and the travel routes thereto’

I agree, they should definitely make sure that the old content do not die by becoming exponentially easier.

when you can give a VALID reason that BENEFITS the game and its players for removing portals then we’ll talk.

The balance of class conveniences
The long term health of the game
The mess that were the old portal system
The fact that conveniences and inconveniences are one of the main pilar of this game from the beginning
The fact that the only content being negatively affected is abandoned content that was left to rot.

Make sure you restock for Tuesday!

Exactly
I have 19 months invested in this game and multiple accounts.
I DONT WANT to quit.
But I also didnt want to get divorced.
Lines get crossed, people wont listen to reason, relationships have to be ended.
Sad all the way around

Yes, but it is very easy to tone them down. Again, easier is better than dead.

Tbh the quote makes it look like that’s my question, but it’s Dire’s. Insofar as the discussion is concerned, I hold the position that this isn’t about the portals at all. It’s due to 1) the lack of quality content in BFA, outside of the raids and mythic+; and 2) the playerbase feeling like Blizzard doesn’t listen to us.

The portals are just the target, they’re not the forces driving the blows.

The fact they had a customized expansion specific survey built for player complaints put out for awhile should say there are indeed issues. They themselves have OPENLY admitted they screwed the pooch (ok, they phrased it in polite ways, but they admitted that the azerite system has serious flaws) in regards to how they handled azerite armor and they’re rebuilding it with 8.2

Yes, a “mostly new” mechanic is being given an OVERHAUL in the SAME expansion that it launched in. THAT should say a lot (in a bad way) about the fact that BfA has some HEAVY flaws it needs to address.

Maybe they hope it will get better.

Sort of, yeah. People only do all of those group activities you listed for the loot. When you implement a system that’s pure, awful RNG and people are constantly getting loot that’s useless to them, that sort of ruins the point of running the content. It feels unrewarding.

:rofl::rofl: (yes it’s a joke people)

Yes, you posted links to reddit, which prove that you lied about the media. Game, set, match. :sunglasses:

Have a good night.

If it’s so easy, then why has TW been an overtuned mess for over a year?

Who cares what Blizzard wants us to see or play?
I, and I alone, decide my game play and no one else. What you’re saying here is just simply unacceptable.
What is it with all these ‘we need to control you’ issues?
Flips hair…or not, I wish
