Several times over the last few days, I have broached the portal topics in either my server’s tradechat or Org’s /1 General chat. Overwhelmingly, the responses have been of the “build a bridge and get over it” nature. Orgrimmar General chat is particularly R-rated and colorful in regards to the type of people that think this is a substantial change,
If you’re anticipating some sort of mass uprising by the proletariat that does not partake in GD, you are in for some Jeb Bush-like disappointment;
I love how everyone is complaining about spending more time in a dead world and no one realizes that the source of the problem is that the world shouldn’t be dead, it has no reason to be dead, keeping it dead on purpose is a stupid idea.
That’s been my experience in Emerald Dream Alliance side too. Only thing people are talking about is how hard Jaina is and what type of Kul Tiran they are going to make. That and the general trolling.
I’m guessing you said something like “What do you guys think about portals being removed?” Or did you list every portal removed and added? If it was the former then you didn’t really provide a clear picture of the change. We’ll see on tuesday how people feel lol.
No one I have seen here has said BfA doesnt suck.
it DOES suck and BECAUSE it sucks and they KNOW it sucks theyre trying to FORCIBLY steer us out of where WE like to play OUR game.
Then we have the type who keep coming up with absurd ideas such as replacing PORTALS with PORTALS and pretending its not absurd.
I calculated the potential subs a few weeks ago by taking the number of players with the Mythic: Champions of Light achievement and doing a little math. My numbers came out at 1.5 million. Not great for WoW, but still probably better than any other MMO on the market.
Having worked in customer service, that is actually quite true.
As I’ve said so many times it sounds like a broken record by now …
Happy Customer tells 2-3 people about their experience.
Unhappy Customer tells 5-10 people about their experience.
That’s cold hard facts about business. The numbers may vary but the ratio is the same. When a customer is happy he has no reason to contact the company and tell them they’re doing a good job. It’s when the company screws the pooch without vasoline and records it for posterity that they speak up. Loudly.
