Same thing happened with Legion; the Burning Legion invades a few zones in the pre-patch, then at launch only bothers invading the new zones. Apparently we somehow contained them to the Broken Isles, but spreading out forces and resources across Azeroth via a worldwide attack never occurred to this ancient army?
I hate to tell you, but a lot of us rarely complain about Blizzard here. In fact I’ve been called a white knight more times than I can count. It’s just become more and more apparent lately that they’re intent on doing what they want with the game, at the cost of losing their customers. We aren’t having fun anymore because of what they’re doing.
I’m done playing at this point anyway and I’ve said what I wanted to say to Blizzard (whether or not it’s actually read). I’m just here to chat while I do other things.
I understand what you’re saying but it’s not “we” who aren’t having fun. While I do prefer Legion to BfA I’m still happy with the direction of the game in general. I’ve been looking forward to the new Portal Rooms since I first found out about them. Although like most people I will miss the Caverns of Time portal.
I’m pretty sure that Legion is proof that no one is ever truly dead in WOW. Evar. I’ll start a pro-Garrosh retcon movement with you. Novelty tusks and everything!
One thing I’ve seen with nearly every expansion is that Blizzard does all they can to have the new content not only be the most important thing on our list, but practically the ONLY thing. Anyone else notice they still limit us to 25 quests when there’s tons of quests we might still want to work on from previous expansions? I think the only reason they haven’t messed with Outlands or Northrend is the tremendous outcry that would ensue. Anything post Cataclysm appears to be fair game to them.
Your argument is non-sensical. It’s like saying that a player who raids 100% of the time complaining about the state of raiding is hypocritical. On the contrary, they’re the ones who are most impacted by those changes and are therefore the most invested in them. If you’re travelling 100% of the time, then of course you’re going to be concerned when your travel experience is changed! There’s nothing hypocritical about that.
It is not “overreacting” when people are expressing their displeasure with a major change in a game they enjoy(ed) playing. You are all over the map in your “arguments”, sometimes saying you support the portal removal, sometimes saying you don’t, but pretty much always deriding anyone who says this will definitely impact their game play.
You say it doesn’t impact your game play? Great for you. That still doesn’t make it okay for you to pooh pooh other players just because they don’t do the same things in game that you do. You are completely clueless how other people play, but instead of shrugging and moving on, you insist on saying they’re all wrong and don’t have a right to say anything about things that upset them.
As I said in a previous post, your behavior is the definition of spiteful.
Not necessarily a bad thing, and you cannot chalk it up only on the fault of Blizzard alone. I took breaks too and the game itself wasn’t the issue. There a lot more alternatives now than there were a couple years ago when WoW was at its peak. The playerbase is getting old and we’re not getting new blood.
Huh, almost 3.7k posts. Kind of a popular topic, just like the 5k thread. Who’da thunkit:roll_eyes:
Chiming in with: straw that broke the camel’s back, death of a thousand cuts, and here’s my IRL travel time analogy:
I want to go to a movie (i.e., OPTIONAL ENTERTAINMENT), but the movie theater decides only to allow in people who travel 1 extra loop around the block. I used to be able to just drive over, park, and go in, but now I have to make a loop around the block if I want in because the theater manager thinks this builds antici…pation. I think that’s stupid, so instead of going to that theater, I go to a different one or just Netflix n chill.
TL;DR: just add all the old portals to the new portal room.
This is just like pathfinder where you take something away (i.e., low-level portals spread across leveling experience for better immersion and convenience, which allows for lollygagging below lv cap), make us beg/demand for it back, then “compromise” by putting all portals (including CoT) in Org/SW, but with a rep gate, which is likely the original plan.
We don’t actually know that you do. And thanks to the magical miracle of the internet, people who are across the world can indeed be employees of some remote company.
Highly doubtful, in this particular case.
Besides, their friends and family plan certainly does not require traveling to an office.
Ahh, so now you’re goalpost-shifting to “maybe a relative”.
Here’s a tip, dear heart; discuss the topic, not me, and recall that you brought this tangent on with the “just a Blizzard employee” jibe.
If you have something to bring up about the actual portal decision, I am all ears.
