Are realm transfers going to be possible in classic?
Maybe, at some point. Right now they are packing so many layers and people on one server to avoid transfers.
They haven’t said yet. But in the Reddit AMA, they said it is something that they are considering, because it was in Vanilla.
I think It’s safe to say at some point it will be in Classic.
Two things to note:
- “once players have reached higher levels”
- “rules we imposed at the time” (6 month cooldown, for example)
Yes, absolutely.
Paid services will eventually come, that’s part of the ploy. First they got to get people sucked in and invested into their characters first.
Even changes will come beyond that when they realize that’s what people really want.
Does anyone bother using google, the search function or browsing the stickies anymore?
There was an idea floating around during some of the AMAs that blizzard might consider allowing free realm transfer to evacuate large que servers. But one problem they might have (from my friend on the inside) is that they might not have the support staff to deal with the surge of transfers if the free option is given.
Thus you see them highly emphasizing making the switch now while you can still create your characters during the pre launch phase
