I clearly transferred to play with friends. However, I would still like a chance to do the quest for Scarab Lord. That wasn’t even in my thoughts when I transferred.
That’s exactly how it worked in Vanilla and it’s exactly how it will work here.

This is a well known status quo from other similar events in WoW history.
Besides, even if we work from the assumption that this is a new policy and not something people should already know, If they had announced it more than 90 days out, then the people who are planning to exploit by transferring would just make sure they transferred 91 days out, defeating the purpose of the restriction.
I understand that you weren’t aware of the policy, and that you already transferred. That sucks, I’m sorry for you and can sympathize, but it’s not like they came out of nowhere and made a change which screwed you over. This is kind of one of those “ignorance is no excuse…” situations.
If they make an exception for you or people in your position, they would need to do it for everyone who claims to be in your situation, and there’s no way to prove whether the player is being honest or not.

My sympathies on your condition. That said, if it’s legitimate, and this is really such a big dream of yours, you might find your guild mates more receptive than you presume. It really depends upon how much it means to you. Based on your refusal to even start the conversation with your guild mates, I’d say you really don’t care that much about getting the mount at the end of the day.
It costs nothing to ask the question. In the worst case you’re right and they tell you to pound sand, but, in the best case, they could rally behind you and make it happen to support you in your dream.
That said, if you treat your guild mates the way you’ve treated the people who disagree with you so far, I wouldn’t be surprised if you ended up being right. I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to help someone who acts like such a jerk with something frivolous like this, cancer or no.

If you’re not in one of the top guilds (and an officer in one of the top guilds), you won’t be getting the mount, it’s not something you casually grind out. You need resources pumped into you, including items that only drop once per raid lockout, sorry if you thought 1/10 the server would have scarabs.

I have no problem with this and laugh at those who legit transferred hoping they could exploit it and are now finding out they got bodybagged.

They said back in 2019 they will not be changing the materials required for the war effort.
This is consistent with how the game since vanilla has been. This post is just reiterating what was once common knowledge. It was nice that they even did it at all to remind people.
nobody wants to exploit it. drama happens and we just want to xfer to a cleaner realm. no reason we cannot race for it.
Except for all the people who literally do want to transfer just to snipe a bug because they would be unable to compete on their own server.

Any update on server transfers in general? Are they staying as is going forward or are there plans to allow them sooner rather than later?
I’m a bit frustrated that people can create a new char on certain realms but I cant xfer my other level 60 to my server

you can’t have it both ways.
Can’t say for layering, but they already came out and said they will not be changing the amounts or items that need to be gathered for the war effort.
Correct. You leeches who are transferring to overpopulated servers don’t count at all

If you weren’t thinking about completing the mount quest in May, you aren’t going to get it anyway. Good luck getting a guild to help someone who just transferred with that lol.
