As someone who tried to raid on Horde Proudmoore and had to swap Ally, I get what a boon it would be to get an infusion of new blood so after some adjustment I think its prob for the best.

You have servers with 1500 active players, why would you merge 2 of the top 20 servers and leave those untouched? :thonking:

Are you going to update the server list to put all these connected realms on the SAME line so people know they are connected? + Just add a server name dropdown to character creation.

Or are you going to leave it vague and uninformative as it currently is and just makes the new player experience worse and bloats the server selection screen for no viable reason.

I think I speak for a good portion of the Hyjal population when I ask you guys at Blizzard to reconsider the Hyjal-Proudmoore merge.

From what my understanding is, the likely reason for this merger would be to merge a heavy Horde populated server (Hyjal) with a heavy Alliance populated server (Proudmoore) so it would make the faction population balanced.

The issue with this is that according to WoW Progress, Proudmoore has double the current population of Hyjal - Proudmoore has about 15k players, while Hyjal is clocking at 7.2k players. What this means is, Hyjal is getting thrown into an Alliance population that dwarves them. We’re getting NOTHING in exchange.

You want to merge some other servers? According to WoW Progress, you can do this:

• Merge Hyjal with Kel’Thuzad - Similar population numbers, Kel’Thuzad is heavily Alliance populated.
• Do not touch Proudmoore. At all. They’re currently US #9 population wise, they do NOT need more people. From the comments in this post (besides the one “King of Proudmoore” cringe comment that I’ll admit, I did not bother reading), it looks like the Proudmoore people also do not want this merger to happen.
