I love that Velonar is getting more people, We died out pretty quick during WoD. Since some servers will have tons of names attached. I’m all aboard being united under one name. It will keep everything easy for people and even be able to sprout a new community.
If this is going to effect Server/Login queues, especially at Shadowlands Launch, for Proudmoore/Hyjal… Hard pass. Neither Hyjal nor Proudmoore are low pop servers by any stretch of the imagination.
Then what happens when someone has your guild name, character name, etc?
You realize that they are still separate servers right? Connected Realms, not Server Merges. You’re confusing the two.
Says who? Evidence is to the contrary, since a blue said that they wouldn’t create clusters so large that login queues would result, indicating that was a possibility if they did.
And, in this case, they are.
Can you reference that blue post? My realms that I’m currently connected to show different population levels all the time.
That same thread talks about how they want to solve the exact problem the are solving with Hyjal/Proudmoore. Guess they found a way.
It also says that job 1 is fixing low-pop realms. They haven’t done that.
Gotta trial it at some point. I feel like queue times were solved with sharding anyways. I don’t understand the purpose of merging for faction balance when warmode doesn’t have consistent sharding like non-warmode does.
I am not jealous at all. This is based off of several interactions of him filtering or editing people, their comments and posts. From topics in Trade Chat to people posting on a Facebook group, which he calls “official” even though it is not. Kudos for all the good work, and everything thats done to promote a safe LGBT area to play. I will not say anything personal, I do not know this player IRL so have nothing to say about any of those things. But, the attitude is a constant downer. I am far from jealous. I also did not dismiss his opinion, I just was saying that when you speak in facts and not with the attitude that you run the show, more people tend to listen.
Mana is a terrible person. Olive garden sucks.
Doesn’t matter the same character name can exist on both servers. The names are listed as PersonA-Proudmoore and PersonA-Hyjal. Same with guild names
This. I have toons spread out across six high pop servers, and Lightbringer is by far the most balanced in economy, farming, and population for Alliance. I’m really hoping it gets left alone. We’re already sharded with the Horde-heavy Tichondrius and Mal’Ganis servers, no need to connect us for faction balance reasons.
Why? Neither realm is even close to having population issues. This is extremely worrying for the long term health of the game.
The horde pop on Proudmoore is on life support, as is the alliance pop on Hyjal. Not saying its the best idea, but that is why they are doing it.
I put it as gently as possible because it’s not appropriate to go into detail about on the forums. Feel free to whisper me in-game if you want links for evidence.
I’ve played on Proudmoore my entire life I have never once heard of you… the fact that you called yourself the “King of Proudmoore” makes you sound like the biggest moron ever lol…
You really think this is the only realm that is okay with LGBT? Gtfo of here you’re crazy.
Again, please don’t call yourself a “king” you are a king of nothing.
BRING ON MORE HORDE BLIZZARD LORD KNOWS WE NEED IT.
You’re not wrong in the slightest, there is a reason why Blizz is doing it and it is the right move.
Ignore this idiot who is crying about some fake outrage thinking the gay community is in trouble because more horde are coming? How that logic works is beyond me…
That’s a terrible reason. Every realm is lopsided. There’s literally like 5 realms that are even close to 50/50. Why not connect illidan to stormrage etc etc. I really hope they realize how illogical this this. The point of realm connections is to join with people of the SAME faction. How does joining two PVE servers together (that arent struggling) help at all? Solves literally nothing.
