Theres even less tanks now that you can gear through delves.
For instance my main is guardian and havent done even 1 heroic dungeon, though he’s about 600 ilvl.
Like someone said, it’s only a pug issue. There are plenty of tank out there.

However i would not mind replacing aug to a tank or melee dps spec instead

I really feel like Azure Strike was meant to be a melee ability, but they changed their mind at the last minute. Too bad, an actual reason to stay close, other than all evoker apparently being severely nearsighted, would have been nice!

How is stating facts a garbage take? They are running five evokers, and you parse in the grey/green range and act like you know the class and claim it’s “handicapped” when it’s quite literally the strongest class in the game right now.

Both are facts, whether you like them or not.

Druids are clearly casters and they can tank. Shaman are clearly casters and no one uses that to try and shoot down those asking for a shaman tank.

Being a caster is not and never has been a good excuse for them not being able to be a tank. Especially when blizz devs have stated they even considered tank when making the class.

Shaman have a melee spec and they still can’t tank. Druids can only tank because they shapeshift into bears.

Evokers aren’t similar to either class. They were clearly designed to be mid-ranged casters with high mobility, not melee combatants.

I would love to see an evoker tank spec.

Black and blue magics or black and red would be cool.

Could borrow the Aug black mitigation and its deep breath I can see functioning more like a DH Infernal Strike (I say this as I’m thinking about mobs hitting tanks in the back).

It would also make evoker similar to Druid in having 4 specs.

I believe it would. Maybe not dramatically, but having more options certainly wouldn’t DECREASE the amount. It would also increase the frequency that players tanked if they added a new spec. In FF14 there was a big surge in people tanking when they introduced dark knight because it was a simple yet fun play style. They could easily do that with evoker with just a few modifications to certain spells.

I used to tank but don’t anymore, yet if they added a tank spec to evoker I most certainly would because I love playing my evoker. So that’s one person to disprove you.

It’s literally not worth making this argument, no matter how accurate.

This forum is full of people convinced that we’d double the tanking population because the same 15 of them are noisy about it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d absolutely love to have a tank spec on my Evoker.

Now… Do I expect it to happen or think it would have a net positive impact? Nah, lol.
