Cotton Candy can only be obtained from the Darkmoon Faire, but you must travel to each surviving capital city (not many left) and get the ingredients, Sugar 10 silver, Evaporated Water 1 gold, and Gnomish or Goblin copper heating tubes from AH for going price. There will be a new concession where you may learn this recipe if you are exalted with the DMF that requires a ticket to make once per day. You must then travel to the Shadowland without any armor or weapon and these enchanted fairy kitties will not appear on your pet tracking, and will only be attainable by a survival hunters!
Once you clowder of kitties in a tree, you must wait with your cotton candy at the bottom of the tree and wait for one to notice you. there is a 2% chance that you can tame the kitty each time, failure means all the kitties scatter. to another tree.
You may one have 1 piece of cotton candy on you at any time, soul bound.

I absolutely dislike the total weightless whimsy of it, like 8? was it 8 races? They were just added. And pretty awfully too. Like “lets throw those in for the fack of it”. The game could go another 2-3 expansions with no new races.

The content of the game isn’t some clown car that should be driven around on a whim following shiny things. High elves definitely qualify as a pointless baseless shiny thing. I see. Here ya go little buddy. A large group of players constantly demanding something for years got it and it was a success. Now, another group of players who have been doing that very thing, for even longer, are being told by someone who benefitted from the first mentioned group to give it up because it is “pathetic”.
The only thing pathetic about this is when someone has such a total lack of self awareness that they dont realize how ignorant their demand appears.
I was a retail guy, I am a retail guy. I thought classic was a crap idea. (I was wrong, it’s really quaint and charming) So because I made a char in classic and post with it, who is not even 60 … that some how makes an argument for you? Grow up.

I think we’re past the point of giving people what they want, it’s over saturation and dilution now. But it’s different pov. I don’t have much more to add.
Yeah, it’s not exactly the right term, but it’s not exactly wrong either. I suppose that’s because I’m irritated at this thing crop up like a weed especially when it’s been asked about and blue addressed.
Personally, I think it’s too on the nose for the cartoony nature of the art in warcraft. And most things have a twist in them to the point where alliance high elves would be out of place. The undead aren’t too creepy, the horde doesn’t have drow, night elves (the closest to drow) are actually alliance, the trolls (before BFA) weren’t that gross and trollish, blood elves (the closest to high elves) are snooty and are actually horde-side, the gnomes are all extra extra cutesy, and so on.
But again, this is the ad nauseum I was referring to earlier.
