Pugs have been full clearing on both of my servers since the second week of AQ40 release lol… and it’s not always soft reserve there’s GDKP too.
And loot councils can be very different. Some are very open and publish spreadsheets etc explaining things ahead of time to their guild while others just leave members in the dark and keep them holding on and guessing when they can ever hope to get a drop they want.
Yes, and if instead you both got a piece of scrap then you could both get rewarded equally every run. Eventually assembling your own item at your own pace. It would simply cut down on opportunities for drama from some players, it wouldn’t cut into the fun of raiding together.
Warriors have single handedly put me off playing this game at any kind of competitive level where loot is involved in a group setting. The amount of sheer arrogance and entitlement that they have is beyond anything i have ever encountered in a computer game. Same goes with some Mages when it comes to caster loot.
Even now that i only solo pvp warriors STILL never cease to amaze me with the amount of toxic bs they can spew when they dont get exactly what they want ie tunnel vision support them and ONLY them or gtfo of the bg and die.
Well, I’m not going to reevaluate anything, because I’m crit capped even with the DFT equipped. Why don’t you go learn what that means. Feel free to keep whining about not having one, though, I find it amusing.
Only if the gather rate were set that fast. I’d assume they’d make it so each piece of equipment might take a couple of weeks of raiding. Time it so that someone who raids on every reset could get their full gear in a reasonable time before the next raid was released but not too quickly that they are done far before that.
If you insist. I don’t find randomness to be fun at all. But if people enjoy randomness then just make it on a per-person basis. What you get is randomly selected but it doesn’t stop someone else from also getting something.
Per person basis doesn’t work when it comes to bosses. And having a pure token system would create a weird situation where everyone would hit bis at exactly the same time. And also wouldn’t allow any upgrades until that point… So would just have huge power spikes raid wide when people got enough whatevers.
Why doesn’t it work? Give each person a range of loot, from a scrap to an actual item. One person’s loot doesn’t depend on anyone else’s. Adjust chances accordingly so the overall rate of getting stuff is acceptable.
The consolation prize of getting a scrap or a token could go towards making items so even if you’re unlucky you can still make progress.
Yeah… there’s a lot more that would be required for that to work. Like complete gear resets every tier with world quest drops supporting catch up. As well as LFR and mythic dungeons.
I don’t think it would need that much work. Certainly you’d have to set up the currency and have a vendor to accept it in trade for items. Then set up the drop rates so people wouldn’t get stuff too quickly or slowly.
Other than that most of the code already exists, just copy it over and enable it.
