I’m not asking you to be best friends and invite them over to your house. “Fake” or not, as long as people either ACT friendly, or just DON’T ACT like a bunch of jerks, then it’s going to be a more pleasant experience.
If you went to a store, where other customers consistently started vulgar arguments with each other, including yourself, I think most people would stop going to that particular store. WoW is an MMO, and not the only one on the market. MMO’s require engaging with their community in SOME capacity, and if that is ALWAYS a terrible experience, it’s going to drive people away. Which I believe has been a MAJOR contributing factor to why WoW’s player-base is as low as it is; because logging in and playing with people is RARELY actually a fun, positive experience. If you’re not ALREADY part of an active, friendly guild, then WoW honestly kind of sucks.
