Real reason there is no RDF

I mean sure, but that’s a different issue entirely. We’re talking about dungeon finder versus manually-formed groups, not Heroic versus Heroic+.

Hard disagree. In the case of easy content, there’s often communication about certain specific, such as how to complete some quests, or where to go (in low level dungeons). In the case of harder content, look no further than any raid PUG to see how the average player handles “solved” content.

Anyway, I’m not really even talking about communication that directly relates to solving challenges in content. That makes up a part of it, but I’m talking about all communication.

That’s an anecdotal aspect of this conversation, but I’d definitely like to point out that an extremely common argument from pro-dungeon finder people here is that gatekeeping is apparently a huge problem.

I wonder which side of that argument you sit on. Personally I don’t feel like “gatekeeping” is actually much of an issue in Classic.

Anyways, I’m just pointing out something I really dislike about dungeon finder. I should be able to form my groups with some deliberate thought, if I want to. Full dungeon finder groups remove that dimension from the game.

That’s very true, but I’d also point out that a lack of dungeon finder doesn’t impact one’s ability to group with friends or guildies either. In all cases, playing with your own personal group is a pervasive solution. But clearly, the discussion around whether dungeon finder is good or bad doesn’t assume that you’re playing with friends and guildies.

That’s a bit ironic. :stuck_out_tongue:
