Real penalties for mythic leavers

Stop being terrible and people won’t leave your keys?

Because it’s not about a number. It’s about the rate in which people leave. That’s literally the point, and as an adult, you should be able to understand what frequent means lol

I know this is what the forums say, but I’ve yet to find a key where this has actually occurred, so it’s either not happening at the rate the forums say it is or I’m just insanely lucky lmao

Because disagreements about leaving rarely existed before the system, and they will rarely exist after the system.

People who have an actual problem have a skill issue, and their experience isn’t changed post system.

If people care about the penalty, they’ll afk.

If people don’t, they leave anyway.

The goal of the system failed.

By my estimation, people can leave 33% of keys without penalty showing up, and that to me is frequent.

Then literally what are you complaining about. VTA and then leave lmao

Because I want the game to be better? for players that play it.

The system is objectively bad, and in it’s current implementation, I’ve been inconvenienced a few minutes. And that is unwanted.

Seems to me like you want to prop this system up as an affront to video games while simultaneously downplaying it. Which is it? Lmao

The horror lol

This system is horrible.

It does not serve its goals.

No time lost is better than some time lost.

The system is garbage.

Do you want a better system or to punish people? You seeem to like the latter, please go run it down in League of Legends and get people banned because they break the terms of service in frustration.

Both?

It’s a poorly designed, though largely innocuous, first step down a road I don’t think the game (or really any game for that matter) should go.

So you’ve said. I’m just not sure on whose authority you think this claim sticks any lol

What step is this game going down with this system lol

What do you think about my idea of letting people opt into the penalty system or opt out?

I think that’s the only fix it needs to make it work.

I think blizzard should have used the category system they already have.

List your key as completion, vote to abandon enabled.

List it as anything else, business as usual.

WoW players are never beating the entitlement allegations for real.

Yea that’s kinda my thinking, but your category system is probably a better way to implement it.

Although, arguably, you people don’t want people leaving until like 20 minutes after the timer in case of completion.

There are likely hundreds of examples from online multiplayer games… just because you only play wow doesn’t disable google.

It’s quite literally the same penalty system that exists in every other game with a ranked mode, except it’s way less punishing than those games because:

  1. You still aren’t banned from participating in M+ if you get flagged for leaving often; and
  2. It’s player-driven, which means not every abandoned key will get reported by virtue of players having different priorities and expectations for what a key should entail.

Psst, those are PVP.

Did a penalty system kill League? Or Valorant? Or Overwatch?

Or are we just using a vague “hundreds of games” disclaimer because being specific would require a degree of honesty about the subject matter lol

The penalty system makes League less fun, and is a primary reason why I kicked everyone off my team by playing Teamfight Tactics. Rito can’t hold me back with bad teammmates anymore.

Functionally, they are the same, but I know people like making this distinction as if it matters any.

Matters a lot because for PVP, you can theoretically win. For PVE? Not so much.
