Reading these forums is worse than working

Dunno. It’s pretty entertaining in a sick sort of way watching a butchered version of a game that was such a huge part of my life, and that I care about, completely fall a part. I’m having fun, don’t get me wrong. But, I think I’m just bitter up to a point I don’t care anymore. The core audience now had the opportunity of creating a new community, a new game - and this is what happened lol. Blizzard screwed up with XRealm. But, a lot of problems are player driven. Adaptation is too difficult it seems. Yes, being left out of a pre-made sucks. Bots suck. Making gold sucks. Losing sucks. The honor grind sucks. Well, deal with it and figure out a solution. I said long ago - pre beta Classic forums, that the success of Classic will be on the Retail/Post Vanilla community. But, I was hoping they would embrace the differences.

What we have is frozen yogurt with a big dose of retail. It doesn’t take a genius to connect the dots to the audience of Classic and Retail.

But, it does make me sad that the overall Vanilla experience in any form, is lost forever.

Alliance are to blame. Their faction breeds the negativity that is sucking the life out of classic. Everyday its a new excuse why its the horde’s fault. Everyday its hurr hurr your queue times hurr hurr.

I’m sorry you feel that way, but the game isn’t “completely falling apart” by any stretch of the imagination. It remains a smashing success and an amazing recreation of the game we fell in love with. In fact I am surprised it even came to pass with all the hardship it faced. Sure there’s some quirks to it, but nothing is game breaking. You can still login and have tons (perhaps too many) of hours of fun with guildies doing a ton of activities.

WoW was never supposed to be a PVP game. Look at Blizz track record, no matter what they did, they just could not get it right when it came to PVP. PVE there’s a ton to do, but a lot of players hate PVE and only do it when necessary. Problem is PVP is a god damn mess so people are pissed.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but spell batching and allowing only one faction to premade are the major issues being complained about.

Wait, what. Horde can premade just as Allaice do. It doesnt work because you all have long queue times…

I say the Overwatch Forums are far worse than us. But, we’re not that far behind, them…

says hold my beer

Untrue. Private servers had the overall Vanilla experience. The more popular ones shut down the day before classic came out. But they did so out of the expectation that classic would be an authentic re-creation. Since it’s not, there are already projects in the works to bring back private servers. It’s just a matter of time before they start popping up like candy again.

That’s a double negative, son.

And they did a subpar job of that even.

Its why im quitting this game for the time being. The community is going to keep crying and Blizzard will somewhat listen. Blizzard as a company though im planning to abandon after what they did to warcraft 3

lol. no private servers did NOT capture the overall Vanilla experience. The fact that they ran on 1.12 alone, made it so.

Edit: However, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t more indicative of the overall Vanilla experience than Classic is. Because they are - inaccuracies and all. Classic is trash. Private servers were moldy food.
