paladin becomes Godmode with good gear
Druid will get you decked in full welfare epics super fast for theres ussually 1-2 druids per raid
both are fun and flexible
but as for healing i will reiterate that paladins get godmode once geared
druids… may not

healing wise remains unchanged.
tbc druid do… super fun
You are only ten level’s from that free mount! Stick it out! And try a ret/protection build for leveling.
Even if you’re not topping meters as a druid or hunter, every decent raid and BG composition will want at least a couple of them for their utility.
This is the problem. Theorycrafters have already laid out that a certain 3 or 4 classes will top the charts in raids and BGs, and thus everyone and their mother is playing one of those classes regardless of how much they like or dislike that class.
You can and will find a raid spot as a hunter or druid and you’ll gear up faster than most classes. I can’t tell you how many Giantstalker pieces we DE because all 2-3 hunters in the raid already have those pieces, and the druid belt and bracers that go straight to AH because our only druid is a tank and we can’t find a druid healer. Meanwhile, me and the other 7 shamans are fighting over tier pieces just trying to get our 3 and 5 set bonuses.
You’d see glory as a druid while flag carrying and glory as a hunter while defending bases.
My personal opinion would be to level a hunter or druid because paladins are very boring to me. They are the whitest of white bread classes. Oh, and the whitest of white bread races too.
My unbiased suggestion would be to play what you love the most, because every single class has a time and a place where it’s utility and class abilities excel more than any other class even if it doesn’t consistently top the damage meters.
Honestly, just find a class you enjoy, you said you don’t like how slow paladins can be when killing, that won’t change much at 60 unless you bully mobs 2-5 levels lower or devote more gold to getting decked out, personally I think paladins are fine, heavier armor than druids and Mana effiecient healing they’ll always be sought after in raids, not to mention the bubbles and lay on hands and the option to build for prot or ret if you get bored
I finally got to dps Onyxia the other night after mostly healing and tanking in raids, boy was I surprised when I was at the top of the charts.
Holy pally might be white bread but ret gives you the option of black sheep lol
Ony is not a dps race homie but grats
Lies, he can devote his life to ret and be a game breaking god that his server will respect and hate simultaneously.
Druids are fun & offer up a handful different play styles to choose from, some obviously more “optimal” than others. My (currently 45) Druid is a versatile hybrid Moonglow Restoration/Balance spec & fairly slow in the soloing department, but I enjoy the play-style, various class-tools & playing mostly in my normal caster form (plus cat stealth/dash, cheetah travel & aquatic form). I definitely enjoy her more than my now-shelved 34 Paladin. I realize that I will be healing mostly at 60, with perhaps some occasional stints as fill-in DPS/offhealing for guild dungeon groups & such. I did mostly the same thing in Vanilla/TBC, since that is the only Druid spec that really appeals to me personally.
Shoot, sent a shammy our way, we can trade one of our 7 priests.
