Im not sure if this is the right way to approach this situation. But I guess i have to start somewhere.

Before Devs completely disregard this message, i would like to tell you that this message is coming from the most sincere part of a returning wow subscribers heart waiting on edge for the release of vanilla Wow servers.

Wow was a huge part of my life and I have constantly wondered if I should return, the one thing stopping me the inability to play my favorite toon by a leading mile. My level 29 combat rogue.

A lvl 29 twink which i worked so hard for, grinding battlegrounds, engineering and even waking up every few hours to steal the gurubashi arena master pieces to make the perfect 29 with BiS virtually everything. There was some serious work put in to get a refined toon without dinging to level 30. Its not that easy.

The later patches completely destroyed hundreds of hours of work on my twink. Things like leveling gear and the removal of certain enchantments and embroideries completely crushed me which began the decline in my interest in WoW.

It has come to my attention that characters will be nontransferable from standard servers.

Will there be absolutely no exeptions?

I can see if we were to transfer current toons to the class server then a merit-able counter argument could be “if we did that then why not restore peoples level 60s with full t3” but its really not the same. New patches worked in favor of current toons. It destroyed us.

I speak on behalf of many 19, 29, and even 39ers. Adding the ability to move vanilla characters over with no long lasting threat to imbalance would bring back some old players. I can see initially how it may affect battlegrounds when all fresh players are in there so make us wait until the majority of the server is in its end game. We can wait.

It would really mean alot to let the twink owners come back and enjoy the game like they used to. It would give them no advantage at all because no twink player would dare to level themselves above their relative thresholds.

Ive waited 8 years to play my twink properly, and I see wow classic as a potential to do so once again.

You are asking to transfer your retail characters to wow classic?

I’m sorry to say but even I have my old twinks still but I feel that character transfers between classic and retail must never Ever happen. That character I made will stay in retail. And the next Twink I make well be in classic, forever ganking.

So that means I can take a level 60 and transfer it from BfA to Classic?

Some BiS gear is not from Classic. Some is from the dungeon finder and some from non-vanilla quests.

It would also allow me to transfer some items that are costly in Classic and make a ton of gold.

They aren’t going to do this. It is easier to farm gear now than back then. It is faster to level then it was back then.

If you want to twink just make a new character and level up and gear up on equal terms with everyone else.

To be honest what you are asking for is an unfair advantage, in even that process, and you give twinks a real bad name.

Twinks have always had a bad name, and an unfair advantage is the entire point, posts like this are just the icing on the cake.

Akshully it’s because twinks are fairer and require more skill and are actually better players than you because either you’re a raider or a whiner

Try logging in and your perfect 19s (AD rep SUCKED!) ding 21 because of a patch and XP changes.

Classic is a chance to do it again, so do it again like the rest of us.

Just remake the character and get the items again. Level 29 takes around 2-3 days played on average I bet.

Oh I meant leveling. Not the process of twinking out the character. :stuck_out_tongue:

Two to three days is like 48 - 72 hours played. Seen a bunch of posts on reddit saying average time to 60 will be around 168 hours played. So a little bit less than half of that.

hi Dottie,
I already made that point about the 60 toons. Some would argue its not quite the same thing. But in any case i stand corrected on this one. Just thought id jump on the forums after 8 years and give it a shot.

ps. All of the gear would be BoP or already bound BOA gear so you wouldnt be able to profit. take a look at the toon im talking about and let me know if you see any gear or enchants from post vanilla. If you find one, i stand corrected.

Making us twink players look bad (worse). Too lazy to just remake your twink? Classic is a fresh start. Not a lol transfer or character boost.

I fully plan to twink in classic and I will earn it. Will be the first time I have 2 accounts just for the sake of self gearing.

Just remake it for classic. No need to transfer. Put the time in again and earn your ability to completely obliterate your enemies.
