I mean melee weaving is a neat playstyle, not for everyone but it’s a good venue for skill expression.
Zirene is an egomaniac incapable of admitting he’s wrong about anything, he’s self absorbed to say the least. He carries himself with a disgusting aura of condescension, all the while being very small minded and offended by criticism or feedback.
I had the misfortune of seeing some of his tweets awhile back, and having listened to his episode on Countdown to classic. Frankly he’s embarrassing.

I’m going to spare any negative remarks about Zirene here—but I’m going to be very clear:
The best parts of SoD were designed by Xav. The classic team made an absolutely massive mistake by not giving him a design position. His work is beloved and players want more of it. Truly a missed opportunity.
I also hope Xav doesn’t get punished internally for this dialogue by players. Zirene is the one who made it known in the fight club discord that he got the job over Xav.

I wonder if there’s a comparison to be made here between the decision in the past to hire Ion (a toxic pve tryhard) and the current decision to hire Zirene? Perhaps both will have a similar fate of flying a previously well functioning plane, into the ground.

I think the idea is that there are always going to be some classes that outperform others in PVP, PVE or other aspect of the game, but the problem with Blizz devs is that certain class or spec can be so OP in certain areas for such a pro-longed period of time without being addressed at all.
That attitude of not giving 2 cents about class balance is toxic, not the class imbalance itself (though it is still bad if it is too imbalanced).

anyone that had the idea of melee weaving for hunters while we have the same rotation since p3 should be designing overwatch… please… everyone know whats is the problem with the game and how to solve it in 5min, except people developing the game,
sometimes feels like a netflix production, you have the IP, you have the fan base, you know what people want, and somehow manage to give the opposite…
And failed… To be clear. Zero vision, execution of a 4 year old…
I don’t know what people in this thread are talking about. His change to fix the marks issue in AB was him listening to the community and taking a great idea and implementing it. That’s what we need more of.

Yeah. Since they weren’t doing it before and now they are thanks to him. That’s progress.
the bar couldnt be lower…how about class balances? season of DISCOVERY main feature was runes, 3 phases now and the feature is dead, im siting on the same runes for months now… same rotation…,. just chasing different pixels to equip it…yes…progress

Just ignore that the bis weapon next phase is a tank slug gun out of AQ20/10 and that we get a killshot set we probably wont use
