I have 2 friends in real life not playing cause of RDF. One quit a few weeks ago and the other said Nope once he found out no RDF. They both played almost all of classic and some of TBC.

I know several people exactly like this.

FF14 is a game built with a dungeon and even raid queue system that has a thriving, friendly community that honestly in most instances puts WoW to shame. What you’ve said is not an argument, it’s a deflection. FF14 is proof that being able to queue for instanced content does not ruin communities, communities ruin themselves

You’re ref a modern MMO against modern WoW. There is going to be an obvious community on FF14 considering the MMO market is by far the worst currently.

Name changes may wash the name but, the player still remains. If someone acts terribly in RDF how are they going to get a bad rep? Reddit? Lol. That same actor can just continue with impunity with their buds.

Call me a purist. I’m waiting for RDF when ICC releases.

Didn’t ask for it. Blizzard’s decision making isn’t my decision making. I’ve been against numerous Blizzard decisions such as boooooosting and H vs. H BGs.

It is. It keeps servers together. Your rep is now important on that server for not being a ninja, slouch, etc. In RDF you can act like a tool or just boot the person you’re competing with for gear. It’s a bad system that creates bad behaviors.

Why do you care if lfr is added. I had a good guild. We had no problem recruiting or doing normal raids. I never touched the nerfed down raids with the nerfed down loot. I’m not advocating lfr be added but I don’t care if it is. It didn’t affect me at all. If it affected you you didn’t really have friends or a good guild. Just like the rdf. If it was a problem for you you didn’t really have friends. You’re just afraid all your friends would rather run with 4 strangers using the rdf than run with you. You’re against the rdf and lfr so you can force people to run with you.

Maybe it’s time to stick to retail if you find the lack of RDF painful. This is a Classic experience. RDF will only lead to LFR as players are unable to find raids. It has happened already.

LOL maybe go read my post history. RDF does not affect me what so ever. I hsve 3 tanks as well as 2 healers. I only tank and heal for friends and guildies. I just suport RDF as I know the pros outweigh the cons. It is players like yourself is why we refuse to invite dps and others using their stupid tool.

Funny. I don’t agree with the barbershop changes but, the fact remains that the players inventory remains the same. Someone ninjaing a special item week1 is going to be an obvious callout that the person name changed.

LFR is bad for the same reasons RDF is bad. It lowers the skill required to play the game and removes the socialization aspect turning WoW into a single player game.

Patches don’t matter to me. I’m waiting for when they reveal ICC and announce Classic Cata which I won’t be subbing for.

Deflection? FF14 was released in same timeframe as Catalcysm. Both of which started going ham on lobbies. Let the lobbies remain in the Modern MMO generation.

Servers are so big people are still a-holes with zero consequence and even if, they can transfer off or log on a new toon. This “community aspect” logic is flawed on the topic of RDF. It existed in wrath, so it should exist in wrath classic, LFR didn’t exist in wrath, so it shouldn’t exist in wrath classic.

Why don’t they do that? Create a RDF minded server. A fresh one and they forcibly transfer people off of mega servers of their choosing. One is to a RDF server and the other is to one w/o it.

These bad behaviors already exist in huge number, and I’m gonna be real - the only place that your reputation matters is in your guild. This magical idea of server cohesion and social structure that may have existed in 2004 no longer exists because people are different. Gaming is different. Interaction on the internet has changed fundamentally and trying to reverse engineer it isn’t going to work.

The whole point of Classic WoW was to reassemble the game for what it was back at that time frame 14yrs ago for Wrath. Making RDF a feature during Wrath release along with the BG queues is a bad feature. It will only take people from the game world and throw them into a lobby all day. I don’t agree with PvP queues being freely done this way either.

catering to pet collectors over raiders are some of the reasons retail became what it is.

What’s funny is, one of the big complaints I hear about retail is that they cater too much to raiders at the expense of everybody else.

Clearly you are new to wow and with your attitude is either why you get removed from dungs or you think you are better than everyone so you do the kicking. I never need to remove players from dungs as I want to help others. We already run pugs on our alts and try to gear many players on our server as we do not need it. We can also 5-6 man Kara with ease but every week we take several others that need the gear.
