Pretty sure IF they do Cata, the pre-nerf version of heroics won’t be accessible via the dungeon finder.
That is why they got nerfed, idiots joining without having any knowledge of the dungeon and causing wipes all around.
What I don’t understand is why people are so fixated on the LFD tool… I mean, the real issue here is to merge all the servers together, you’re not going to find a dungeon quicker if it’s not cross-realm, and I’m quite sure there is zero plan for cross-realm stuff in classic.

Cata will become the new best expansion if RDF is added.
I hope RDF is added. Would be nice to play Classic rather than Warmane when I get the dungeon spam itch

Actually, better remove bgs…since Retail has them. And death knights. Oh my gosh, they’re in Retail too! Dang, guess all classes must be removed. And Northrend needs to sink into the sea. Everything that’s in both Retail and Wrath must go!
The irony is RDF wouldn’t really even qualify, as it’s not used for endgame. It you know what would? The LFG system they shoved in from Retail.
“as it’s not used for endgame” yeah tell that to my alts who have been doing dungeons every day when they hit 80 for preraid gear. The dungeon system absolutely is the biggest difference from retail to classic to me, I like making my way to dungeons

Nobody said rdf was needed for heroics.
So form your own groups then. You can still do that with RDF in the game.
It will cannibalize regular LFG and convenience/speed will always take priority to playerbase, there isn’t mythic+ there will be no reason to ever fly to any dungeon. making the trip to the dungeon is pretty important for the game feeling real and not instanced lobbies like I’m playing retail and 14, I think classic being different in some ways is important. The tiny amount of players whinging about it probably deserve having to deal with slight inconvenience it’s healthy for them
Getting summoned to an instance is no different from teleporting. Two people have to fly afk there first? Please. It adds nothing to the game.

Summoning stones is something in the world and requires people making the trip, it isn’t like the game instantly teleporting you and teleporting you back leave that to the modern games let classic stay classic. I’ve probably done 100x more classic dungeons than you and it hasn’t bugged me at all I prefer it this way blizzard agrees with me /dab
And that’s the crux of the matter: the selfishness of anti-rdf posters. It’s not about the method you prefer, because that option still exists with RDF in the game. It’s about dictating everyone else plays your way.
And the 2022 classic team clowns agreeing with you is not the flex you think it is. The actual Wrath devs put RDF in the game.
