This is not the real wraith in any way. We dont have maps for classic dungeons, we dont have quest helper, we dont have RDF, there are mobs bugged all over northrend since launch that were not frozen/evade bugged in original. This is a botched private server copy at best. And these forum trolls keep crying we should preserve the game in a vanilla state, so now the game is dying because its boring to play. AV weekend already proved that the vast majority of players in classic want faster leveling. Theres no debate anymore. Blizzard needs to comply with our demands or lose their playerbase as they are now.
Big assumption there, some of us feel that they have listened to us, at least when it comes to RDF. Some of use legitimately don’t want it in the game.
Unfortunately, no compromises can be made here. I wish there were different solutions. I agree that this isn’t the original Wrath experience, and that they have “rebranded” the concept of “Classic.” I agree on a few points you’ve mentioned.
People have reported that Classic servers have never had this amount of people playing the game, so that kinda makes a few points invalid. Not your points per se, but many of what people have stated.
If you don’t want RDF, you don’t want classic Wrath. The only reason it wasn’t implemented was blizzard’s greed that will lead to their eventual downfall.
Personally, I would like to have more people to play with, as a night employee I get less and less of a chance the more the community fractures and people quit before the first phase even ended. RDF isn’t something you must use if it is added, but it is something I can’t find a dungeon without at many times of the day… right now there are fewer than 50 level 80’s on the horde, and 15 of them are level 80 dk’s soloing Ahn’Kahet. If you don’t want the finder, then you obviously have plenty of people to play with. So because you have friends and your opinion is that this game should be changed from the original state (which included dungeon finder… to be clear no one is or ever was talking about RAID FINDER… I think we all agree F that, plus it was Cat anyway) I have to be deprived of making new friends and having bonding wow memories?
Let me remind you that original Wrath had LFD just the 2nd half of it, so it didn’t have it in the 1st part. Saying that they did it out of greed is speculation, and almost conspiracy theory like. There’s plenty of testimonials and statements that support they did it for the social aspect, which many attribute to the game’s popularity back in the day:
- Gregg Street, a.k.a. Ghostcrawler.
Playing with others is important, but the quality of those interactions, in my opinion, should be more important, and with almost every aspect of life, if you want more or better of it, you must put some effort into it. Having other people to play with, without incentives or without effort is not as rewarding, to each their own, but on a bigger picture of the community, you want to put more emphasis on the quality, which as a consequence, will improve the overall social experience. RDF removes those incentives.
The release of Wrath didn’t have LFD, so we can argue that Wrath didn’t originally have it, and nobody is depriving you from making new friends. If you play on a low population server, it is indeed a problem, but people that are successfully running dungeons may be because they are making use of their social skills. This is where you have to evaluate how much effort you want to put into making connections, you will spend more time doing this at first, but not so much afterwards.
Pro-RDF refuse to accept that the “it’s optional” argument is invalid; the system is too convenient for people to be optional, Path of Least Resistance Effect.
Wrath also didn’t have queuable battlegrounds yet. It didn’t have dual spec yet. It didn’t allow for Death Knights to be made during the prepatch. It required us to have a level 55 character on the specific realm before being able to create a Death Knight. It didn’t have boosts. Wintergrasp was server-specific. We also didn’t have the ability to change our genders at the barbershop. The battleground weekend wasn’t called “Call to Arms” yet.
I mean, the list can go on and on. Saying that RDF wasn’t in yet, is literally the stupidest hill to die on, considering ^.
That’s great and all, until you realize that people may play at 3am until 5am, and no amount of social skills will make their barren server at 3am magically get players to run things with.
The playerbase isn’t the same as we had back in 2004-2010. That much should be obvious to anyone playing this game, so long as they actually played back then. We DID care about community back then, absolutely. However, times have changed, we’ve changed. I’d receive messages before getting invited to groups - today, I get told to go drink bleach if I decline and say I wanted to receive a message before a random invite.
RDF doesn’t remove anything. In fact, it actually opens the door to more interactions. It opens the door to more friendships. This is further evident by having Real ID (which wasn’t available at launch, either, just an FYI) where we can stay in contact with anyone we meet cross-realm; oh, and on Discord, too.
Then Wrath didn’t originally have much of what we currently have in the game. See above.
Or, they’re on at the right time. Sorry to break it to you, but not everyone works the same job, on the same shift. People shouldn’t be pushed aside because they work different hours than others.
It IS optional - if you removed the bonus emblems, it becomes 100% optional. It being more convenient or efficient doesn’t take away the fact that you don’t NEED to use it. You WANT to use it because it’s more efficient.
You’ll be booted by me and many others if you’re not even willing to put forth menial effort. GL.
Think of it this way… If you were given a pile of crap to eat over and over and over, when they finally serve you (insert food you dislike the most here), you’re going to, WITHOUT A DOUBT, say “Thank you, this is almost the best food I’ve ever tasted!” To say you wouldn’t say this is a complete lie.
Annnnnd we shouldn’t.
Who cares about you though? Been here since 2019 finding a raid is ezpz
Don’t care.
Reading comprehension.
The biggest private server going just launched two month ago everybodies there.
Literally better than all current WOTLK content.
Sham has excelled at PvP pretty much all around since the dawn of time.
Who cares about them though? Im in over 50 guild discords on grobb finding a raid takes 0 effort rofl
Give RDF for 1-79 at the very least. It wouldn’t affect anyone and give people more of a reason to play the game and level alts, especially with JJ active.
You will say pirate server, because you are not in that certain PRIVATE SERVER that you mention, and no…
Rather, is it becoming that, is that why Blizzard ceases and desists that pirated Vanilla server? not even to defend your IP or Copyright.
yeah, yeah… classic casual honeymoon patche lovers.
Honeymoon period ended 2 resets ago.
This isn’t English
and what english do you speak? In USA there are quite a few states and they use different types of English, it’s not my problem that I can’t tell them apart
This makes me so sad.
first your argument is flawed it was flawed from the moment you thought into reality of this post. reason? social interactions and lack there of just doesn’t exist. it doesn’t it did for a moment. but it doesn’t anymore. the idea of doing something in wow regardless of what it is, is to get some level of a reward. whether its gold, rep, badges, gear, or some level of achievements. do you know where i got most of my achievements from dungeons and raids? the guilds i’ve been in. not some rando that i probably will never see again. not say that that rando isn’t a stellar dude. i just likely will never see him again. and some times that is okay. some times when you do a group activity all there needs to be is yo, you do this quest? if yes cool lets group. quest complete? all that is needed is GG. most of us playing are trying to relive an experience. we had back from nearly 12-14 years ago. i know this warm gooey social experience is something you think everyone needs to experience in 2023 most people couldn’t give more of a crap about spending time BSing with people unless its their friends already. i know thats a harsh statement. but you need to understand the time you’re in. this isn’t 2009 or 2010.
ah yes, the blaming of others because they are unable to complete something with in game. there is no reason it should take them an hour to do a 5 man dungeon. further more what if its not a social skills issue. what if its just that that entire server is just running on fumes and people are inherently selfish. IE get what they want and bail? is that an option? or is just that one person who is unable to get their crap done for the day. is it at all possible getting a group together at any time during the day is so unappealing/unattractive to do the majority of the players have ceased doing dungeons because it is painful to do dungeons in this current landscape? because morning noon or night it is straight trassh to to compile a group to do a dungeon let a lone multiple dungeons.
what i read from this is, i do not respect your time play by my rules, or don’t play the game at all. well when the state of dungeons are in such a miserable state to do maybe we should re-evaluate what is happening with dungeons. there has been a near 85% decrease in the total dungeons done. is that the person a the low pop servers problem? or is that an entire region problem. i’d argue the ladder. when you see that level of play decreased that much. it tells me that dungeons are in an overwhelmingly poor state of play. something needs to be addressed. while yes i am pro RDF. i’m not necessarily saying RDF is the answer. clearly the tank and healer rewards are not the answer either. further more Heroic + will likely not be the answer either. so you tell me with the state of dungeon play in the level of disarray its in? what do you do to correct that type of gameplay? that it will be huge maybe for the first few week or two? then see a natural decline? or are we gonna fix it to be far more fun to play? if we aren’t gonna do that for those who want to do dungeons you need to provide them an outlet to achieve their goals. their goals aren’t being met.
umm you mean body types. not genders anymore they moved away from that. but go on i’m enjoying your arguments (not being facetious either)
I certainly hope the Dbags telling you to drink bleach are being reported. thats absolutely inexcusable to suggest someone to comment the S word to themselves.
GG on your counter points. especially the bits about late night dungeoneering Raises his hands i had to do this. it was MISERABLE. it would take 40 minutes to some times 2 hours just for the daily dungeon some days. it was quite miserable and this was with in the first 2-3 weeks of september 26th. late night dungeons are miserable.
I don’t know why they bother, when people are willing to bend or change defenitions and facts to their convenience, that have clearly indicated that they won’t respect you or your opinions, and after being told they got ignored… attention seekers perhaps?
We can’t have a civilizied conversation under those conditions.
It is probably difficult to have any kind of conversation when you have the other person on ignore.
maybe, from reading your posts, if you didnt come across as “civil conversation” being agree with me or your wrong and stupid. thats just the impression i got from the tone of your posts and your sudden decisions to quit discussing anything when someone makes a point you cant refute. you switch to patting anti rdf’ers on the back and saying that pro rdf’ers are just toxic people. just an independent point of view of your so called “civil discussions”
