I pretty much always play assuming I am going to get zero heals. One reason I have gravitated towards Ret over the years. Trying to get back into Warlock right now and it’s a little rough because I feel like once you get focused you can’t get away and you just die, but it’s interesting trying to figure it out.
You never have to assume, I tell you up front I’m not going to heal you…
Give us a visible cast bar when enemies are capping base nodes and the eots flag please. I think the original Deepwind Gorge had this feature and it was good.
You don’t heal me because we are almost always split up with me playing off objectives and you healing the team fights.
We aren’t like most duo queue pairs that just seem to want to parse instead of win.
Played 18 games and won 10 of them. Sadly does not count towards my Legion Mage Tower appearance that requires 10 rated battleground wins, so not sure how long I’ll keep doing it until they fix/address it.
I think that’s an addon. I remember seeing it, maybe it was ThreatPlates… or Plater… or Tidyplates…
It looks like it’s just in Eye of The Storm. All the other maps I have the correct stats.
Edit:
My gear scales to 499 in EOTS.
What grain arrow tips you using?
No idea if anyone here already mentioned this but I’m going to copy and paste what I just wrote up for another thread here, since a lot of you are interested in solo rated bgs… Here it goes.
"Incase you didn’t know, while the season has ended, just like previous gaps between seasons you can earn regular non-seasonal achievements, like 2.1k in 2v2s and rated bgs.
So, who cares? The elite title and cosmetic rewards are only seasonal.
Thats correct, but only for arena.
You still wont be able to earn any cosmetics, but rated battleground titles work differently, they are not seasonal and once you get the achievement you earn the title forever.
I believe starting at 1000 rating you earn a title and every 100 rating after that all the way up to 2400. Military themed titles like for example 2200 on horde you get the title ‘General’.
If you go into your achievements in World of Warcraft under PvP and rated battlegrounds section you can see what rating gives what titles.
Also you can see blizzard changed the title requirements, so all the titles can be earn from Rated battlegrounds OR Solo rated battleground.
So yeah, if youre bored or simply never pushed rating in bgs before, all 14 of those titles could possibly be yours. =)"
The seasonal Titles are Rival/Duelist/Challenger… I don’t think you can get those in Rated Blitz either.
Rated battleground titles are completely separate from arena titles that you mentioned.
Each faction actually has their own set of military themed titles for rated bgs.
For example, Legionnaire is the 1800 title for horde and Knight-Captain for alliance.
I can also confirm this. Ranks and Grand Marshall/High Warlord gear unlocked at 1800.
You run into players like this in RSS at low MMR, when doing low MMR even in any LFG setting. Why is this so shocking to people. Have they been so much in their own bubble for so long they have no idea what goes on with the rest of the player base?
I am going to assume, unless that person at 192 is an alt that there will be a disparity between 192 CR players and 2000 CR players.
Good to know will keep an eye out.
You can, because those are also how they determine how your gear upgrades it’s PvE ilevel, but those are seasonal so they aren’t active right now.
Yes. It’s just potentially harder to get away from it in soloQ BGs since there are seven other players on your team instead of two other players and one player can easily cost you a match in a BG (for example, a player who goes and caps LH and then leaves it totally undefended and it gets taken without a fight by one player from the other team - this happened to me two days ago).
Or a Feral Druid who loses a 3v1 - calls me ‘‘trash’’ for leaving him behind in order to steal stables for the win. Of course, he was somewhat right - even if I hadn’t taken stables - I would have still left him to die…
and laughed at him after.
It’s a good idea to always play the percentages. If a fight looks unwinnable, move on to something else that looks winnable. Too many people have tunnel vision and don’t have full map awareness.
So, yes. Sometimes the best move is to sacrifice one of the pieces on the board.
I leave people to die all the die if we are just sitting in an endless fight.
I think you may have raised your rating a bit too high too fast. You’re running out of players play with. I work twelve hours a day and rarely have a day off. So i’m only at like 600cr while almost never losing. I’m sure these other people that have been playing more hours than me, like you, but if a few Log off then you got to wait.
It does help to look at them as Random BGs that you can earn seasonal rewards from. I have the same issues you’re having when I solo queue about half the time–people losing bases with 4 of them right beside the flag, people letting the EFC run right past them, people team fighting at locked bases and letting the enemy walk up and free cap, etc.
This game mode isn’t an improvement over RBGs from a gameplay point of view, it’s just overall better for most players because it stops the 9 year LFG waits to get a game going.
Yep. They have much more in common with random BGs than full rated BGs (at entry level MMR anyway).
On my alts im getting about 75% win rate.
On my ww monk im trying to gear up hes currently 1-8.
I’m playing to objectives and being sneaky with stopping their ability to cap via flag grabs etc. Everything I can do to win a game and its honestly just no such luck., just losses or draws.
On my other chars though, no problem getting them dubs.
I think my monk is just cursed at this point and makes me want to just park him until the curse expires, potentially the same for you
