8/10, only thing that feels weird is the fact one shoulder will always have an orange crystal which seems out of place with the frost mage and overall color scheme.

8/10; solid look! I always like it when a DK doesn’t try and match the spec to the “idea” of the color. (Like, red for blood, blue for frost, green for unholy) Here you’ve got the purple and steel look, which I think is great. I forgot that 2H frost is a valid spec again! So that was a nice surprise, too. But that’s where I felt the xmog lost a point or two. The green gems on the shoulders + the red gem/smoke effect from the sword don’t seem to “fit” with the rest. (BUT, -love- the match of the spikes from the sword to the ones on the shoulders!)
And yeah, I already know in advance: mine isn’t very original 
, but I just switched out the Sunsoul Scepter for Bloodsurge

Yeah I really wish it had 2 blue crystals. I went with these shoulders because the tassels on them match the bracers + the runes of the shoulders are nice.
Looks fitting for a frost mage, but the tabard does kind of stick out too much, being a bit too dark of a blue. Still I’d say 8/10
Edit: Would have done Krins, but the site decided I didn’t need to be able to get a good look at his mog.

8 / 10! It’s well put together and fits for a prot pally. My only gripe is as you said, a bit unoriginal.

I am going to also give you an 8/10. It’s definitely a good mog, however it looks more befitting of a frost DK IMO.
For my set, it is made to pair with my clefthoof Matzo along with an animal companion with the same model so we have “matching” horns.
