I’ve been experiencing the same issue across all three of my characters that currently have access to Zereth Mortis. One is on Shu’halo, the other two are on Eitrigg. On all three, the rare can be “up” (five-pointed star-shaped icon showing on the minimap), but none of the roots will be around and Gluttonous Overgrowth will not be targetable. I’ve tried looking in bushes elsewhere throughout Catalyst Gardens, both near and well beyond the coordinates mentioned within this thread, without finding a single one. I have Warmode off, and I’ve gone through the basic trouble-shooting step of attempting it with my addons turned off.
How is this still bugged?

Still bugged as of now. It has spawned but not one root has with it.
Same. I’ve been there right at the daily reset, been there on multiple characters at different times of day across different days, every day, and I haven’t seen one root despite the rare showing as up on the map and minimap.
This is still an issue after today’s maintenance. It seems there is a way for someone pulling a vine to bug the vine out before breaking it; the vine then despawns and the criteria for the rare to become attackable is never completed. I watched the vine just disappear off someone completely when they got put in combat by a nearby enemy.
EDIT: One of the other vines respawned and we were able to spawn the rare.
This is getting ridiculous.
Can confirm. Still no roots after Tuesday reset.
I was able to join a group to kill him today. It was up on my shard but I didn’t check to see if there were roots to tug on. Will check again tomorrow.
I was also able to pull the roots and activate the boss yesterday, though it was after they hotfixed the weekly so perhaps they did both then.
Manage to get one kill on my realm before it bugs again. Fix, pls.
No roots up on my shard today but I was able to join a group and kill him.
Hopefully a reliable fix will be found for the Gluttonous Overgrowth. I don’t want it to become another Unstable Memory event incident.

2 weeks into the patch… still broken. We should pay so they would be able to work on the game and fix stuff… oh wait
This is STILL not working on my server with Warmode on.
Come on Blizzard it is still not working, just remove the event and make it a normal rare already

Not working for me today as well. No roots in sight, but I see it spawned. Shame they haven’t fixed this since it’s one of the two rares that can drop a weapon which are hard to come by for enhance shaman…ugh.
