What does it matter if its old content? You obviously havnt done it before so it’s new to you.
Indeed i too wonder why he’s calling it old content , when nazjatar still has zinanthid being farmed 24/7 , EP thats being ran all week long for BiS trinkets , nazjatar pvp battle where people still go in mass to get that chest …
Not like you have to go grind in argus for 3 weeks
What class do you play that you need all these essences? Is it this druid or is this just a forum alt?
If you’re balance, isn’t VoP among your top essences? And you said that was easy, got that in a day.
If you’re feral, isn’t C&S among your top essences? That will take some time, but if you’re really serious you’ll devote time to getting rank and not just the bare minimum, have that done in 2-3 weeks.
Spend time on Breath of the Dying from Uldum, which is fairly easy with a contract and knocking out dailies + events, 30min at most per day.
Essence of the Focusing Iris you can get rank 2 on the first day (+7 or higher) and rank 3 in a couple of weeks, which you’ll need while you work on your C&S anyway so it’s not like that time will be wasted waiting on just one essence.
The point is, most classes don’t need ALL those essences you listed off, so work on what you specifically need. And even if you play multiple classes, spend all the time getting r3s on a single class, and use the Echoes of Nyalotha system to get all those r3s on your other alt classes.
So what you’re saying is that since this is an MMO and not a single player game, a person should reasonably expect that there will be no group content for them to play whatever if they come toward the end of the expansion.
You don’t suppose there’s a disclaimer in the advertising that explains that, do you?
As someone who speaks French, thank you for being able to make the difference.
I’m German so I can always make it.
Schöner grüße aus Mainz.
Ja, Genau!!!
I don’t speak either language but do people really struggle to tell the difference?
The stereotypical German accent people think of is actually a French accent. Some Germans pronounce TH as Z or S but most do D or T from what I see (or hear I guess), it’s what I did aswell. TH becoming Z or S is more of a French thing, although sometimes Germans do it and other times French people use D and T. It’s just more common one way for one accent than the other way.
There’s also some variance in German accents from dialects. German is realistically 3-7 languages, and sometimes the accent can change a bit based off that, though it’s not really noticeable to foreigners and sometimes not even Germans. I know the same exists for French but the Parisian government in France is very purist and thinks any French that isn’t Parisian French is impure and shouldn’t be used, so a lot less people in France speak their native dialect, but for those who do I’m sure there can be a subtle accent change.
I grinded them all out and I support making them much easier to get. Simply put:
Player returns
Player gets to 120, gets introduced to necklace, cape, azerite farming, ect.
Player looks up guide and sees their best essences…locked behind 3 or 4 reputations.
Player tries but gets bored because all wqs+dailies+emmisaries take too long and time away from other actual fun content, then quits.
See my point?
No and we shouldn’t be encouraging these obnoxious systems at this point
I have this rather vague memory of legion making my weapons instantly boost up and had a vendor for legendaries at this point
They should do the same junk for these essences
It’s at the point where you’re not going to catch up easily without like hardly playing the aspects of the game you want to
Just let people go wild
Essences really killed my enjoyment of BfA, I now play alts to 120, get the necklace upgrade and pretty much quit there content wise. TBH I don’t know if I hate essences or corruption more, I’ll just be glad when they’re nothing more than a bad memory in SL.
Don’t forget the people like me who have to work up our other reputations from scratch, so it’s about eight hours a day for Kul Tiras, Zandalar, Mechagon, Nazjatar, Uldum, Vale, the Assaults. On the ground too.
Thankfully, the reputation bonus has really helped. Got flying already, and Mechagon at exalted, but it’s still a lot of things. Oh! Don’t forget those who want paragon mounts from Legion. Those count during the reputation bonus event too.
Isn’t Rank 3 of Lucid Dreams a, at minimum, thirty day grind? Come on.
Then you got Conflict and Strife Rank 3 which I want to say is, at minimum, a four week grind. Etc.
Players shouldn’t feel that they have to play an entire month before they can get all of their talents, just because they took a break from the game, lol.
And that’s just someone who may have not played a patch or two, but was end tiering the patch prior. Now imagine someone who’s just now getting into BFA. How many months of grinding would they have to do to even be comparable?
I stopped playing halfway through this patch, and now I don’t even want to get back into it because I know I’ll take several months to catch up on Corruption Resistance. Guess I’ll just play when Shadowlands comes out.
Not sure if serious…
It’s way too long. There is no way on earth I can believe you’re having fun doing all of this.
One of my friend is father now with twin babies and work full time. And he is so upset with the game. We’re sort of considering switching of MMO or hope for a TBC release which would fit us more our aging groups.
I’ll be honest; it isn’t fun but it is enough of a distraction to keep me off of reddit which is filled with memes and news I’d rather not look at. There is just way too much to catch up on. I still haven’t even wrapped my head around essences and the corruption is a lot to juggle with an underleveled cloak that I can’t progress because I don’t have gear or essences.
You think tbc had less time requirements? I think your glasses are a little rose tinted.
You couldn’t even do dungeons without getting attuned through quests or other dungeons etc.
We went over this already. It’s different time frames and way to play. You need to get off your high horse.
Sorry. Confused myself. Thirty day grind, because you can only gain one level a day. For some reason I was thinking it was three levels a week.
