Rank 4 Essences in the prepatch

Seen some conflicting and unclear information about this, so hoping for some clarification.

Specifically wondering about when rank 4 essences will become unavailable. I remember hearing originally that they would be going away with the expansion launch but also seeing in a different post that rank 4 Vision of Perfection will be unobtainable in the prepatch, thus making Phenomenal Cosmic Power unobtainable. So is it still going to be unobtainable for those of us that have R4 VoP, and are lacking other essences, or will it just be locked for those that don’t have that particular essence at rank 4?

You should operate on the knowledge that everything related to R4 will stop with pre-patch. So if you get 2400 before pre-patch, you wouldn’t get R4 from chest after pre-patch. Just to be safe.

Ngl I hope R4s go full unobtainable after SL launches so I’m not tempted to grind them for ATT %

Currently, it’s not when SL launches, it’s when pre-patch hits.
