Ranged Survival - Not just DoT Marksmanship. A suggested design

They could introduce a glyph that changes Tar Trap back to Frost Trap. I miss FT too. Of course they would have to reintroduce glyphs. But they should have never deleted them in the first place

Wyvern Sting and Entrapment would likely be PvP talents, and there is reduced trap cooldown in the proposed Mastery. That said, if Blizzard didn’t already have a designated PvP talent tier with tier 5, then Wyvern Sting and/or Entrapment could also go there. I wish that tier, as well as tier 3, were specific to SV. Camouflage should be made baseline, and tier 3 and 5 should be given spec specific talents.

I’d enjoy seeing some new types of traps, things that are area based offense abilities, always active rather than needing to only go off when someone steps on it. A burn area around the hunter would be fun. Sure you can see the trap in action, but if you step in here to attack me, you’re gonna feel it.

A pole spear trap would be neat. Think Indiana jones when spears are popping out of the ground at him.

Elemental based traps are fun, but we could also have animal based traps. Something that causes insect swarms or badgers, serpents, heck rabid squirrels, I wouldn’t care, just something with variety.

Anything like that would be delightful.

Perhaps a cast time trap that affects an area and doesn’t need to be triggered? Like a spike trap of sorts that just causes damage when moving though, that lasts for a minute or so? That would be pretty cool.
