I joined Random Encounter about a week ago, and let me tell you, if you’re looking for an old-school guild of mature and friendly folks to play Classic with, look no further. There is an organized leadership structure dedicated to making the guild a success, yet it has a homey, relaxed feel to it. Members are encouraged to play as they wish, take their time, and really just soak in everything the game has to offer, be it questing, dungeoning, raiding, pvp, professions, or RP. Posting to keep note of this. My old guild from Vanilla is sorta backing out now though. IM old haha. 44 with a new daughter.
I am also posting to keep track of this thread. I will be looking for a casual, mature guild for myself and my 76 y/o mother and this might fit both our guild needs.
Well I’m looking into this just from the Rexxar server connection alone. Definitely keeping track of this for sure. Will poke around for a bit but this is looking like a solid choice for sure.
I am a member of this wonderful guild. I don’t know how I got so lucky to find it. It truly is everything the OP, who is the guild leader, has posted. We have good times together already on live doing dungeons, a P60 team comprised of friendly, supportive guildies, great officers and the guild leader is one of those who truly does care for all the members. We are thriving and having fun while we wait for Classic. We are already almost 80 strong. Please come join us, you won’t regret it.

Dont get me wrong i love discord, I just would prefer to talk to people in game before voice haha. Just a preference.

I had no idea what discord even was when I applied. Scared to death almost, but I interviewed with the guild leader and they helped me all along the way of getting established. Guild leader and officers are super kind. All the guildies I’ve had the pleasure to speak to and interact with are as well. We keep growing in membership each and every day. Can’t go wrong with these folks.

I have been a member of Random Encounter since the end of April. In this short time I have met more helpful and friendly people than my last year on retail. The forums are a flurry of activity. They contain a wealth of knowledge and interesting videos, stories, and information. Discord is very busy considering the game does not launch until the end of the summer. We currently stand at 75 members. Our officer core is very dedicated to making sure the experience here is the best it can be for any playstyle except for all out hardcore players. Like Classic is to retail, this guild is a throwback to the family feel that I experienced back in 2004. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else heading into the launch.

Hello Thorun. the average age of the guild is somewhere around 45. I imagine your daughter will keep you busy. Fortunately many of us have real life distractions and can accommodate your needs. Hope to here from you soon.

Good afternoon everyone! Anther week closer to launch day and we at Random Encounter are very excited and working hard to ensure we are successful come launch!
I’d like to start by congratulating our newest addition to the Officer ranks. Moxie will be assisting with event planning, scheduling and coordinating. In time she will likely assist with recruiting as well. Congratulations Moxie!

We are already planning our launch-day activities, weekly guild breakfasts, contests/parades/events, server-wide roleplay events, pvp events, and holiday parties! We have a ton of great stuff in the works, you don’t want to miss out on this unique experience! No stress, no drama, and lots of fun with kind and friendly people.

Hello everyone! I am Mythonhaos, Recruiter for Random Encounter. We are under 70 days until launch and have 79 great people. I would like to welcome our newest members Wredd, Acoma, and Kevran to the family.
We have continued to run 15-60 dungeons with guild members. It has been a lot of fun as we have encouraged players to run in roles typically out of their normal playstyle. If you are looking to find a safe environment to play in now and when classic launches, this is the place to be. Want to tank without being yelled at? We got you covered. Afraid to try healing? You won’t find a more patience and helpful group to try it.
We also plan to head into Molten Core again with our P60 raid group on our Feathermoon placeholder guild. If you never saw it in the day, this will give you a peek into the general mechanics and our raiding atmosphere.

Also - Steamwheedle Cartel represent! I played on SwC from Vanilla-Wrath, and I remember Velocity well. Small world, this World of Warcraft is.

Hello everyone! I am Mythonhaos, Recruiter for Random Encounter. We are under 63 days until launch. I would like to welcome our newest member Mikicus to the family.
We participated in the Stress Test last week. It was fun helping each other level and laugh during the chaos that ensued. Some even took a shot at the Deadmines at level 15. New friendships were built, and old ones were strengthened. We are looking forward to launch with a community already established.
Due to the start of summer, a lot of members are busy getting real life out of the way so they are free for launch at the end of August. Discord remains busy though as the excitement continues to grow.
