There was a time during BFA where you got amazing gear from doing casual content. During Rise of Azshara you could get Benthic gear that was essentially BiS for even top end players during progression. What that led to was plenty of players feeling gutted because items that dropped during the raid were simming lower than World Quest gear. It gave them nothing to look forward to while progressing during difficult content.
If the request that’s being made is for solo players to have good starting gear for those wanting to get into grouped content, then I’m all for that. But if what’s being requested is to bypass Heroic raiding and get Heroic ilvl loot, then I’m going to say a hard “no”. As in in my opinion it shouldn’t happen.
Why people pick up a MMO to play by themselves and have the expectation to get far is an enigma to me.
