Raiding sucks M+ was better

Just wait for that LFR wing and you can get it then.

There’s a difference between running it a thousand times and progging against it a thousand times.

Also controversial take—more LF systems please. Want to mythic dungeons? Make a looking for system for that. Want to grind maw rates? Make a looking for system.

I think the longer I stay around this genre the more jaded I’ve become because while I like having friends online over the years real face to face interaction with family and friends is always proving to be more valuable.

And let’s not forget wasn’t Wildstar Online supposed to be the raiders MMO and that flopped horribly. Literally what makes MMOs super successful now a days is accessibility toward a player base.

McDonalds isn’t 99 billion served because they make you jump through hoops. Businesses aren’t hyper successful because they limit what you’re able to buy. How is this any different. All it is like a high school clique wanting to lord over people with exclusivity.

+8 = normal boss. Whos putting 600 attempts into a normal boss?
+10 = later normal boss. 600 attempts?
+15 = Heroic end boss. Who in gods name is wiping 600 times to a heroic end boss
+20 = mid level Mythic bosses. More like 30-50 attempts for these
+25-26 (non corruption) = final Mythic boss. You think people aren’t spending months trying to get one of these timed?

The fact remains that the stakes are so much higher for timing a +25 key because if you fail, you’re screwed. That creates infinitely more pressure than being able to pull again.

Yeah this isn’t really guilds doing that though, its mostly people who only do heroic

So run your 15 every week and get mythic raid level chests? Run a bunch and get more choices. This is a win for M+.

Then make the cap 213 and not 210.

This is classic “it doesn’t bother/affect me, so it shouldn’t affect you.”

The PROBLEM is that the ilvl drop, regardless of how large or small, was due to raiders complaining that they felt compelled to raid AND M+. So, to placate, Blizzard made it so that raiders ONLY have to raid, and said a big eff you to those that do NOT raid.

Personally, I don’t care, and will still complete what I want to complete… 3ilvl lower or not. At the end of the day, I still log off to what matters anyway.

Identity theft is NOT a joke Drakulos! Millions of azerothian families are affecte every year!

no. the changes we got in systemlands were a huge net loss for people that would rather be in M+ than the oudated snorefest that is raiding. essentially if i want to push M+ i need to go into mythic raiding . there is no gear progression in M+. There is gear to gear you for normal raid, then the rest has to come from raiding. You get to play the lottery once a week for gear that may or may not even be good.

You get higher than normal raid gear from m+.

If you feel that you need to raid for M+ instead of working through the chest, that’s up to you. But the option to get 3 choices of mythic level gear is pretty fast for gearing on its own.

Completely agree. Raiding is so incredibly tedious. Why did Blizzard punish m+ players for no reason?

If the gear is on a weekly lockout, it should have higher rewards. The concept should not be a difficult one for people, and yet…

+15 is equivalent to Heroic raiding, with some weeks being easier and some being harder. So the fact it drops 3 ilvls lower than Heroic raiding is a fair trade off for repeatable content vs. weekly content.

Weekly lockout - higher ilvl
Repeatable content - lower ilvl

This way, M+ isn’t the end all be all for a majority of players. And both options have an Avenue to Mythic raiding gear. It’s a great change after how suffocating M+ was in BfA.

Is this like the world’s worst guild application?

Why not just add a debuff that’s exclusive to raiding and have a resistance associated with it that does not effect any other content other than raiding? Seriously we do this for PvP why is it so hard to separate the two in PvE. Raiding should not be be all end all in MMOs otherwise we’re really in as bad of a spot as many think with the genre

Systems like M+ killed guilds. LFR helped a lot too.

It just all boils down to what blizz wants available on a weekly lock out vs spammable. In blizz’s opinion, having heroic equivalent raiding gear be spammable is too much, so they nerfed it.

ever think, maybe a focus on raiding might bring back active guilds? Since now everyone cant 5 man pug M+ for the best gear.

I think the difference between M+ and Raid should be there but not a huge gap in power.

You don’t have to. You do realize you can move on to another mmo right? Also, you are being extremely over dramatic. Raids and dungeons are completely different. One isn’t making anything irrelevant for the other. Some people prefer racing through a quick 20-30 min dungeon in M+ vs having a group together going through a big raid which can takes weeks to get your first full clear. Also, different paces and tons of wipes and just an overall different experience.

So yeah. Just because you feel this way, believe it or not, many raid from completely different reasons than just ilvl like you seem to do.

But that trend kinda goes against what the market is telling you what sells right now. Large organized guilds are becoming the dinosaur in terms of games. Players and consumers want more intimate relationships and experiences from their games. You really don’t get that when you’re 1 out of 30. What’s hot in terms of sales and getting people to keep coming back is that 5 person group.
