Yes and Oakenshroot is Ralphâs alt
This.
Be part of the solution, not the problem. Create your own group and use whatever criteria you want.
Letâs just say, I think youâll figure out very quickly after youâve bricked your 12th key the reason Raider IO exists.
Elitist tryhard ultra min/maxers!!
Uh, I mean - hey, sup.
It seems we have WILDY differing definitions of fun.
To be fair, they probably DID check your IO with the addon. I donât join tanks that are ridiculously low since my time is valuable to me. But yes, making your own group is the solution here.
To be fair, this can and does still happen with higher ilvl people, especially Rogues and DHâs as their class carries them into keys far beyond their skill level.
Some people seem to think that creating a group takes a lot of social skills and interaction for some reason. It doesnât Iâm very socially awkward and introverted and I have legit no issues just posting up a group and inviting people suited for the run. The only social interaction youââ really have to deal with during that is a simple âhelloâ
If you want to keep adding unreasonable requirements as a reason for the system being bad, youâll definitely get the result you want. Even LFD isnât getting people into a group and done in the hour before raid. Some things take time.
Iâd keep the keys, but unlock any lower level so you could choose at the font. If you could just do any dungeon at any level, half of them would never see anyone.
Thereâs really not a lot of conditions and penalties.
Condition: you complete 1 M0 to get a key.
Condition: you post that key and run it. (Repeat as needed)
Penalty: if you canât complete it on time key gets depleted
Well at some point you have to accept your limitations if thatâs a hard no for you. But then, thereâs so many people that hate IO and gatekeeping etc, that thereâs no way all of them are too introverted to form groups. Theyâll be the ones taking the first 4 who apply, just gotta be quick to join.
People who are DPS just donât want to spend anywhere from 10-30 minutes waiting for a tank or a DPS. Theyâd rather join one and be accepted in 10 seconds or less. Raider IO bad because it means they canât do that unless theyâre very experienced and good.
Yes. I just write mythic +5 Chill group. Then when the group is formed, I say everyone to relax and donât worry about wiping. Itâs a fun run.
This eases a lot of peoples anxiety. They feel relaxed in doing the dungeon.
I do that, only I then proceed to type out a Drill Sergeant rant when they join. âOH YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS A CHILL GROUP TWINKLE TOES?! THIS IS A +5 MYTHIC KEY. IF YOU THINK ANYTHING WITH THE WORD MYTHIC IN IT MEANS YOU CAN GIVE LESS THAN 110%, LFR IS TWO MENUS AWAY YOU SACK OF SAD CUPCAKES.â
. This cracked me up
Now this just shows your complete and total ignorance. Raider IO is the LAST metric that matters. 1st and most important is ILVL believe it or not. Groups can actually be FILTERED by Ilvl, meaning if you donât meet the criteria you donât even see the groups and cannot apply. After that is role, as a group that already has 3 dps isnât taking a 4th, and finally class. Ranged dps are weaker than melee and some classes have advantages that put them above others, ârogues and DHs mostly.â IO only comes into play if you pass the first 3 gatechecks, and as a priest you probably donât, and this is coming from an Affliction lock so i donât want to hear any whining from you.
You forgot the tank and healer bottle neck. Thatâs a big issue that makes forming groups rather hard.
3 DPS can make their own group and sit in that finder tool forever. Iâve looked at the finder tool some days and have seen full pages of 3 dps looking for a tank and heals. One day I need to take screen shots, itâs kinda impressive.
Thatâs on them. Make a healer or tank, âor a hybrid that can do one,â and bam, you never have that problem again.
If you want to pure DPS then you have to be good enough to compete with other pure DPS. Sometimes itâs out of your hands because Blizzard decided to make Melee gods of aoe for an entire expansion for some reason, but thatâs not a problem with Raider IO, itâs a problem with Blizzard.
See this is just nonsense. Iâve met so so many awesome people through m+
That falls under condition 2 IMO. Regardless, thereâs Tanks and healers out there signing up, just less of them due to population.
Thatâs what someone once told me but it didnât work on my healer spec. I got no bites. I am going to test it out later on my tank spec to see if things change. I really donât want to as I do not have fun tanking but maybe it can help build up my score to where people wonât reject my healer.

no.
it doesnât take much to push a key, even with pugs. Even if you only had a few hours a week, its more then enough to push a few levels and then just build off it. Every week you get a chest and that chest has a key that is just -1 from the highest key you did the previous week. So if you just push that key a little bit each week, you can easily have a decent key every week.
The amount of effort needed to keep a key âhighâ is so incredibly easy its not even a note worthy. You say the system isnât forgiving⌠but what more do you want? If you canât invest a couple hours each week todo a key or two, then Mythic+ just isnât for you and there really shouldnât be any complaints.
This is seriously no different then raiding or rated pvp. You have to put in some effort to be relevant and mythic+ is the most forgiving relative to the gear you can get from it.
Quit trying to complicate an absurdly simple system. Itâs exactly that simple. Have key. Make group.
Nothing wrong with that, but then this form of content isnât for you.
