Raid Boss Rooms Should Pull Players into the Room

I noticed that when doing the Will of the Emperor fight in the Mogu’Shan Vaults it will automatically pull all players into the room regardless of where they are in the raid.

This should be a default feature for all boss rooms in all raids. Either done automatically as the fight gets or have a device that when clicked auto pulls all members to the room entrance.

Eh, I could take it or leave it. On the one hand, it is nice for current raids. On the other, it would slow down older raids.

This isn’t true, by the way. It only pulls players who are in the room, but on the upper balcony. It won’t pull you through the walls.

In Final Fantasy 14 when you are doing raids and someone starts the boss and you are still running you get a prompt to teleport into the boss room. I’m not sure how hard it would be to implement something similar into wow since as it is we can’t even zone into a dungeon if a fight is happening

I think this is a good idea for Remix, but not Retail. Someone, inevitably, will use it to cheese the raid.

Save that it doesn’t really matter for Remix. If you’re not in the room, you don’t have to suffer the 20s of DPS necessary to down the boss. You just have to wait. The loot will be there when you get in, or in your mailbox.

More apt, if you’re not there at the boss fight, no worries, odds are you weren’t necessary anyway, since speed and power are linked in Remix, the fastest characters are the most powerful. The folks stuck in the back weren’t going make any meaningful difference anyway. (And lets be clear, I have absolutely no problem with carrying folks in Remix, but that doesn’t mean we have to actually wait for them.)

Not specifically for raids, but I can’t think of the last time I was in the Herod fight in SM. I always Maxwell Smart that one and get the door slammed in my face.

If I’m actually on my speedy toon, I will skip Herod (if the meters indicates that the other DPS is crushing it anyway), and just continue on the rest of the dungeon. By the time they have that boss cleared, I’m 2/3rds to the next one and the instance is dome 30s faster.

It only matters, really, for Mythic. And having ubiquitous, infinite summoning really helps quell that.

Not always. I’ve now run into two times where I was too far away from the bosses in ToT and did not get credit. I don’t know what changed or why, because it was never like that before… but recently, I’ve been seeing and witnessing this.

It doesnt pull you if youre outside the room though. Saw people in remix still get locked out.

It would be nice if, in general, group content were designed in a way to minimize people being left behind.

On the other hand, I’d also like to see more group content design that helped discourage being afk or phoning it in, but that’s a tall order.

Only if the boss can say “GET OVER HERE” too.

I think no, this type of mechanic would just encourage even more laziness.

ESO does something similar and its very nice

The opposite should happen

Instantly kills anyone not in the raid room

Siege of O. after the Thok kill.
Firelands, the boss with eggs and the flying overhead, that’ll yank you across the zone to get there.

Would make resetting the boss impossible…

Sometimes half the raid gets locked out of fights in remix because it is faster to start them without those players running in. They still get loot 5 seconds later so it doesn’t really matter.

Having checkpoints at every boss versus only a few spots would be so nice. And they could just use those teleporting npcs or clickables they already use.
