Raid Adjustments are Now Live

With hotfixes that have gone to all Season of Discovery realms recently today:

Scarlet Enclave

  • Health values for non-boss enemies have been significantly reduced across the entire raid.
  • The locations of the Mage Tower and Guard Tower lieutenants before the Beatrix encounter now spawn at the base of their towers.
  • Removed some of the Artillery enemies around the Blacksmith.
  • Beatrix
    • The utility, healing, and disruption spells used by Beatrix’s troops have either been cut or reduced in effectiveness. Affected spells include Concussion Shot, Disarm, Shield Slam stun, and Polymorph.
    • Beatrix’s health reduced by 5%.
    • Adjusted the timing and overlap of her Class Call spells. For example, there are now 4 waves of Scarlet Infantry during Scarlet Phalanx (was 6), 4 waves of Scarlet Cavalry during Thundering Hooves (was 5), and slightly less overlap between Mortar Combat from the Artillery into the Meteor from Scarlet Mages.
    • Adjusted the Out of Bounds triggers that could result in a Scarlet Phalanx (Infantry Class Call) gap forcing players to walk out of bounds and take unnecessary damage.

These and other changes will all appear in the next hotfixes update.

nerf that stuf harder i got raid tonight and i hate to struggle so either massive nerf the whole raid or buff certain weak classes to do like 25% more damage like 2 hand enhance shamans they have a massive amount of room for dps increases

damn i wanted to see how truly hard she was. Back to trivializing the content so stuff just falls over and were all bored in 2 weeks.

Good start for tuning, not going straight for the kneecaps and addressing some of the nasty overlaps.

I also greatly appreciate the mob health nerfs, puck went from around 4.5m hp to 2.5m

If these are the only changes, I assure you that your group will not be clearing this raid for several weeks. I hope you like weeks of progging the same boss and hundreds of wipes.

Devs are out of touch again and inconsistent. They forget that we do PTR so things are tuned properly, lesson unlearned. They forget that this isn’t the game mode for super difficult content, lesson unlearned. They forget that we have been doing hardmodes for the folks who do want more difficult content.

How many lessons must we learn just to forget a patch or two later?

Hey Blizzard, will you be retracting the loot from guilds that exploited the bug to kill Beatrix? And what about the loot from other bosses that wasn’t accessible before her defeat?

Blizzard will never learn because they are forced to chase the unobtainable - perfect and ever-growing population and engagement metrics. When they appear to not be listening to us, they are busy doing whatever internal projections or the people in charge want. When they suddenly start to listen to us again, they’re in damage control mode.

No one will be playing in 2 weeks if they don’t balance the content. No one here is playing for Mythic-level retail raid progression.
