Radio silence from blizz

I too could take off a month straight if I so desired did we forget the part were there is people filling in for you while your gone? No job just shuts down because so and so is on vacation.

Nope, typically during the Winter month during the Holiday companies will do something called a Production “Code Freeze”. This means that no new MAJOR updates will be pushed to the production servers. Now they can still be pushing minor bug fixes that are lined up and ready to go. But the production team support most likely is pushing bug fixes and changes that were lined up and ready to go before the Holiday even started.

I’m assuming Blizz probably has a small skeleton crew of production support that rotate out for the Holidays, but I have no clue. I’m guessing 90% of the balance team (classes), and PvP developers though are on vacation till at least tomorrow or the next day.

I mean for reference my Job we are in a code freeze until January 6th before we do any production pushes. This will take into account everyone off for the Holidays. We do have emergency Prod Ops support though for Tier 1/2 bugs/issues, but any Tier 3 development waits until after the holidays.

Yeah no again the entire pvp team isn’t just non existent for weeks, they are just not doing their job. They were live hotfixing raid bosses on December 23rd whilst the pvp team sat on their thumbs.

bro it’s literally a holiday 2 weeks off is normal for most jobs go and do something productive in that time instead of qq’ing on the forums, the devs are only human.

Like I said I don’t know Blizz’s Holiday schedule for their employees and developers. But I’m guessing most Employees went on Holiday the 24th. That is why the last Hotfix changes for Race to World First happened on the 23rd.

But this is just my speculation.

The devs weren’t supposed to be on vacation 4 months ago when beta players told them there’s a good reason 0 matchmaking games allow angry losers to zero other players’results

Christmas shmistmas but this was an unforced error

you can’t just throw money at coding. creativity and problem solving takes time. hopefully they are spending time fixing the game tho.

Ok they would’ve been back the week between Christmas and new years. Regardless when was the last meaningful pvp update? Well before then. So keep throating blizz people like you are the reason they leave the game in shambles

They probably put in a freeze on changes around the holiday season, its what we do, unless its a an absolute emergency. Then things kick back in one everyone comes back from break or vacations.

Sorry dude this isn’t your mud hut third world country businesses don’t shut down for weeks at a time.

Dumb decisions don’t equate to them not being in the office or on vacation. Of course they could have made these changes months ago and truthfully they should have. But that was a conscious decision by a PvP developer.

It does seem like they are planning on remedying that in 10.0.5
but hopefully they push that change sooner.

But I reiterate a poor design decision doesn’t equate to the developers just being MIA.

most salaried jobs do :rofl::rofl: maybe not ur mcdonald’s job tho

I literally just explained to you that most IT and software development jobs give Holiday for the Christmas Eve through till about the 3rd of January
my Job does this so I’m assuming Blizz does it too.

same here 10 char

Ironic you say that when I know you either don’t have a job or call yourself an entrepreneur and make 10k a year. No business can afford to seize operations for weeks at a time.

you obviously have never worked a salaried job :rofl::rofl:
