Won’t be listened to like all the other suggestions and complaints but if queue syncing is gonna stay, why not just reenable raid queues?
At the moment it’s a barrier to entry when we could have raid groups taking each other on much more easily, instead of just those practicing the queue sync dark arts.
No no I agree. As long as its raid group against raid group only. This way the premade communities can play with their “friends” AND have the fair close games they claim to want.
Then because they have raid queues Blizz can make sync queues against TOS and ban people who do it in Epics and Blitz
How many more years does Blizzard need to take action? After all this time without any change, it’s reasonable to assume they won’t act in the future.
Enabling raid queue for everyone is the right way. 1st, it’s a simple solution.
2nd, with Discord now available for everyone, we all can easily have the same coordination that premade groups have, which is their main advantage.
Actually, everyone is in a premade group, trade chat premade or community premade. So if raid queue is available to all, there would be no reason for anyone to complain about premades. Hate losing? Find your own group in trade chat.
Having a 3rd party app as a requirement is already the wrong decision. Addon’s within the game like weak auras have already caused issues where 1 button programs have been created. Press 1 button and it does your whole damage rotation.
I know a few girls who stick to SS and Blitz to avoid a situation where they are required to be in a voice call. Making it basically a requirement will drive pvp participation down even further
Premade groups don’t require Discord or any other voice chat app, never did, never will.
However, most players prefer using it. If you don’t like discord, just follow raid warnings.
As for raid warnings, why would you trust them? In a PUG group, those warnings might come from a 12 years old randomly assigned to be the raid lead. But in a trade chat premade, you can generally trust that the leader knows what he is doing.
Because again its not about groups in the current game or in the current world. So it needs to stay disabled as a symbol of that regardless of if you have some people who like to waste their own time trying to get around it.
While some communities don’t technically “require” discord it’s essentially an expectation for others. Sometimes premades don’t type directions or callouts at all too.
Raid warnings can be irritating, especially when they’re irrelevant, late, or basically wrong. Just because it’s /rw from a premade doesn’t mean it’s correct. If a premade is vs. a pug of course the overall game play will usually work out in the premade’s favor because of their usually superior coordination.
I don’t trust it much when people say they want raid groups allowed again.
Are they saying raid groups should ONLY be matched against other raid groups? Are they willing to wait in queue for this?
Are they saying they WILL play their 15-20 man raid vs. a full 40 man on the other side?
If soloers or small groups don’t want to be pulled into a game vs. a full 40 man raid would they be able to opt out?
While the concept sounds good on paper there is more to it than some people let on. The way epic BGs are now - where overpowering via comp/gear can be more impactful than strategy - what some people want to do is make min-maxed, 40 man raids and roll over casual and/or smaller raids. Since this would undoubtedly happen, with a little time it’d marginalize the more casual players. In other words, min-max players would be ‘much preferred’ even though many people just don’t play that way.
As it is, the reason epic BG war games aren’t very popular is because of this difference in playstyle.
I only make friends with people i want to and that i like.
I understand some people out here may be so desperate for connection i don’t know why but they are and they consider shallow e relationships over discord “meaningful and deep” kek. It doesn’t get any more impersonal and hands off than that. They could cut ties with you tommorow and you’d never see them again.
But in high school like 2 or 3 years ago i realized that most relationships are not the ones that are going to last aka be one of the ones that actually matter. I am in contact with maybe 2 people now out of the dozens i talked to in my grad class. They all just went their own ways.
Spent like 4 years with most of them and i’ll probably never see them again which is fine cause i didn’t have any connection to them.
So if its not going to last why put the effort into it?
All this does it guarantee premades can all get into the same BG. Most people don’t go looking for or even want to go looking for large groups for PvP. This will only further hurt the mode honestly. The issue isn’t premades getting in or not, its that they exist at all into a mode where most people are probably solo queuing or maybe doing it in small groups. You know like the 5 man group limit is there for. Having a mode where you can queue solo or in groups from 2 to 40 doesn’t work.
Blizzard doesn’t want premade raids in random bgs because premade raid vs. random pugs drives players away PvP. That’s why the game does not allow us to queue for random bgs in a raid group.
Your suggestion is to legitimize premade raids in epic bgs, making it easy for premade communities to bring full 40-man raids.
Premade raids will avoid each other using spies, addons, etc. They’ll continue to sync queues if that helps them circumvent premade raid matchmaking.
Epic bgs will be completely ruined for pugs as the bracket devolves into join a 40-man premade raid or get roflstomped by one.
My old guild used to pick up ppl from general chat. It resulted in long delays to queue. The issues with pugs from general are:
They don’t have bg commander or CF
They don’t listen to requests not to zone or hearth
They don’t listen not to die when we’re queueing
They are typically resistant to joining disc
That said, now and then we pick up new members in bgs while we’re playing because we’re having fun, I bet all communities do. Really looking forward to cross faction grouping soon.
Enabling raid queues and making them queue into each other would just have them all continuing to queue synced parties because it’s about getting stomps not ballgames
