That assumes it isn’t so laggy that you miss out, somehow, on actually getting to tag it. I was there for Ony and tagged it, still didn’t get credit.

I didnt get anything from Onyxia my second, Lich King didnt spawn getting stuck at 5/6. I started rotating alts and every one of them got loot on first kill.
Did u do the first kill and 2nd kill on different characters? Im testing this 
Well, I have yet to tag a boss, not from lack of trying, mind you, so I have no idea what they drop.
And no, I don’t enjoy getting nothing from mobs but 1 of whatever that counter currency is.

Yeah this event hasn’t been very unforgiving to many players now having issues with getting nothing from first kills even …you’d think after all these years now Blizzard would learn but they don’t sadly…

Some reason the event bosses have massive server side lag as well. Did Time rift last night with easily twice the number of people than doing the even boss and zero lag on the TR boss.
blue ! just means it’s repeatable. that could mean daily or weekly, they can also be Monthly (Darkmoon Faire) but the pre patch quests have a 7 day count down in your quest log, so it’s either a weekly or blizz just decided to put a week long timer on a daily quest for some reason.

Will see when realms come back up and reset happens in 46 mins or so.
Wait? These are weekly and not daily? Guess I am going to just keep going alt by alt since it isn’t once per week per account.
If you’re collecting transmogs, you don’t necessarily need the 300,000+. You will collect gear through completing the event (Veteran Warbound from the task events, Champion Soulbound suitable for your class from the boss), knocking 4,000 to 8,000 off at a time.
My suggestion:
Get the ring on a character and funnel Essences from alts to that character. Go for mount (20k) and pets (3? at 10k each) with the currency first. Then save up until the end of the event to buy what you didn’t collect from loot during the event (or when you have enough to buy everything missing)

There’s so much lag at the spawn areas I made the switch to WM just to even accept the quests, but it was an hour before the next Dustwallow. So I just logged off.
These three spawn areas or mobs need to be greatly spaced out in PvE. People are just mass casting AoEs. The portals didn’t work for 30 minutes causing D/Cs
As far as other have said they were …I am going to check after reset to make sure now…if its weekly or daily…reset is in 45 mins.
I ran 2 characters yesterday. On first kills for both, I got ~2000 per event including the LK x2 (1 per character). My 2nd attempt at LK on a character got me nothing, but others said they got the 500 for the kill.
Not sure if lag is part of the equation because it is extreme and obscene. Glad ill be done by the weekend (since I dont care about the gear. Just the mount and maybe a pet)
You don’t have to buy both mounts …they will change to which ever depending on which faction your on…so if you buy the Alliance one it will change to horde one when you load in your horde character…

Ye it might be one loot drop PER character. Cuz i did it ragnaros 3 times and lich 2 times ( onxyia didn’t even spawn twice…). I only got loot ONCE on one character. So it might be per char.

If there is confusion about how it works, then it was poorly designed. We should NOT have to go to the forums for an activity that is so broad and well-attended.

Agreed. Blizzard has a habit of letting the forums, wowhead, and other resources pick up their slack when it comes to informative design.

Not just that, they’ve almost completely replaced their support department these days.
