I am usually told that there is “too much bloat” and there shouldn’t be need for more races.

Just do what the rest of us do and ignore haters who say that. “Too many races already” “too many elves” “not another furry race” “just play Race X, they are basically Race Y anyways” these are all just overused excuses to avoid making an actual argument. When someone uses one of those excuses just ignore them.
