Raiding is about synchronization (well, WOW content really.) For the best solo has to offer, might I suggest Diablo 3 or a roguelike?
There is no “forced” group content. You can choose to do the group stuff if you want the best gear, but there are many of us who choose to NOT do the group content. We are NOT being forced to do anything in the game. As long as I have gear that allows me to survive in the open world and have fun doing it, I’m a happy player.

Highest heat run completed in Hades is 13 or something for me with Adamant rail on hell mode. Still soooooooo far to go. Play it on and off, and a sequel is coming out too!

No one is forcing you to group or do anything else.
I would say the vast majority of people paying for subscriptions never join a group larger than a 5-man.
You have so much freedom, so many choices, and if you don’t see that then I don’t know what to tell you, you must just want to feel bad.
It’s OK to get tired of the game. Give it a break and come back when you have enthusiasm for it again. Or don’t. So much freedom!!!

If they claim X is easy, they should have achievements to back it up.
that’s sometimes true, but not always, and not in this case.
if you’re going to rail against top-end raiding without having top-end experience, your arguments don’t hold much water.
What’s your process for finding a guild? Guild Finder isn’t the way. I have a posting for it, but only to direct people to my website.
If you’re not having at least a voice conversation with an officer or above for the guild, it’s not worth joining imo.
additionally, be cautious of joining a guild that can’t field a roster and has to pug.
