The only way to interpret this is that SL has it’s own riding skill.
That is how they phrased it.
If it was “Unlock flying with this consumable. You will also need Expert or Master riding.” then it would be clear.
“The riding skill needed to fly within the four main Shadowlands zones!” could mean purchase master riding, OR purchase Shadowlands flying OR purchase Bastion, Maldraxxus, Revendreth and Ardenweald flying.
Since we have heard nothing about purchasing so far, let’s hope they just phrased it poorly. But it’s hard to give them the benefit of the doubt with past history of shenanigans surrounding flight.
Keep in mind that if flying was locked behind currency in PTR, much fewer people could test. My thought is that PTR had no currency requirement strictly for testing purposes and we’ll be spending gold or anima when it goes live.
Yeah, and I think that’s exactly what Humanbeak, Hammy and The Hunter Orc are pointing too. I think it’s just poor verbiage, because the consumable is a riding skill level that currently exists in game.
I agree that the wording could be much clearer, but then again, why they can’t dedicate a CM to actively participate in a blue post for an hour following the post to help answer / clarify…
Oh that one. Yeah I can’t imagine doing it on a larger race. Never thought about trying it with a toy to make one smaller and buy some additional clearance. Clever!
If that’s true I think I’m done with WoW. I don’t play my alts because they can’t fly yet and 5k anima takes forever to get without your covenant being leveled up, which I won’t do on my alts because they can’t fly.
