Quick Shoutout to Lore

I just want to take a minute to give a little shoutout to Lore for a short, but shining moment in the most recent Q&A.

His follow up to Ion explaining the Warfront cycle length, and how the system would still leave essentially a dead period in rewards due to the ilvl not scaling when older warfronts come around. (Question at around 58 minutes into the Vod, follow up question from Lore around 59 minutes in).

THIS is the type of stuff we need from you. Follow up questions that the community may have when they explain a system that will not solve problems.

Though the answer Ion gave to your follow up was a bummer, I can say that your foresight to possible community concern was nice to see. Keep doing that.

So, as much nonsense you get from the community, thank you for that little bright spot to what was another unsatisfying Q&A.

Pretty insane we are praising somebody for simply relaying information now.

Someone has to bring some positivity into this place. It’s already spiraling into a black pit of despair and loathing.

Yes, because the game is trash. The hate is well deserved

Perhaps, but this is the first time I can remember him challenging a nonsense answer Ion gave and making him answer it on the spot, not cherry-pick questions he can spend maximum time explaining a minimum of information.

I think it was a great qna, they are making azerite better in 8.1 and essentially fixing it to what everyone wants in 8.2. If that fails then it’s on us, they are giving us what we asked for.

Hear hear

I’ve stopped watching the Q&A and rely on MMO-C and Wowhead for summaries but I swear they just felt like Ion as Johnny Carson and Lore as Ed McMahon answering questions. Rarely did Lore question Ion’s answers, just “Yup, yup yup. Next question…”

I completely agree. The fact he caught that and immediately followed up it felt like he was asking as a player. He was asking something we would ask. I also agree the answer was pretty bad. I doubt Ion enjoyed being cornered like that, but Lore is the guy that gets put in the middle. That’s exactly what he needs to do if he wants to build credibility with the player base.
