Because pre-70 BGs are not balanced. I don’t think Trashivision/Blizzard cares to even attempt to balance the pre-70 PVP modes. If you are not playing a MM hunter you will get stomped by them.
Not really true at all. I’ve done well on various specs in the 19 - 49 brackets. And these low level brackets are less imbalanced that pitting a sub-500k HP player against fully PvP geared players in level cap BGs.

They should of added a similar thing to open world ashran or at least an area that promotes world pvp like back in BFA when everyone fought in Naj.
I miss the war mode invasions. Those were always fun on my server, you’d usually find some fun fights there.
Naj’s world PvP event sadly was not designed very well. You either joined a raid in LFG where you were 80v5, or you didn’t join a raid in LFG and instead the other faction’s raid came to your server and you fought 5v80. Only once do I remember getting a proper good match which was a lot of fun.
The random world pvp though in that zone was good.
Another reason why gear normalization should happen in non-rated bg’s. Geared players slumming it at the expense of new or casual players makes for a bad experience. One of the many reasons why WoW PVP has declined.
It 's not like you can force players to gear a certain way in normal bg’s. Isn’t that what rated group content is for?
I’m totally with you OP. There are so many options for dealing with this problem but I’m tired of queuing random bgs expecting a 10v10 and I have 3 teammates with sub 300k HP getting 2 shot. An insta loss. These people know HOW to gear, they know WHERE to gear, they know WHY to gear, but the answer is always the same; they want carries for their honor. They want the pvp set with absolutely minimal investment on their part and it’s absolutely selfish.
If they’re not selfish they’re ignorant, which is fine, but create an iLvL floor and make separate lobbies for people that just want to run around and roleplay in battlegrounds. I had a level 70 DK in my game the other day in level 8 Starter gear from the DK starting zone still. 108k HP at level 70. It’s absurd that other players have to put up with that.
For those defending this, name me any other group activity in or outside of gaming where someone can show up, act out of pure selfishness to the detriment of the group or team, and expect to be included?? Bonus points for acting offended when you call them out.

How and where do you expect them to gear up?
Those useless players in LFRs who die 10 seconds into a fight. Or the ones who keep overlapping the lava circles to wipe the raid.

- Dungeons/Raids
- 424 AH Greens bought or crafted
- 2 Trophies at level 70 for 2 450 bis pieces
- Of course the obvious answer is queue literally 6 BG’s before level 70 for the 12k honor needed.
What are you actually defending here? Selfish people or are you just playing Devil’s advocate?

Thousands of gold spent and the gear is all replaced in a few hours.
You need to obtain a purple box to get the trophies.
You get 2k honor per bg? Dang.
Aren’t they undergeared for lower level bgs too? Isn’t that just pushing them to someone else’s bg team?

It is absolutely realistic, I’ve done it on multiple characters quite easily. You excuse against my valid option for acquiring gear is “it’s too hard, there are twinks”…GUESS WHAT? It won’t get easier at 70. What about the other 5 options I listed for gearing? The answer is Blizzard has a system in place where lazy and selfish players can auto gain honor at the behest of players that show up ready to contribute. Stop defending these players and let’s get to a place where we agree the issue needs to be fixed.

My main question to you is why are you defending people that refuse to contribute?
In every suggestion I’m encouraging people to play parts of the game to acquire gear and have a sense of autonomy. You argue against every point with some version of “it’s too hard, it costs too much gold, etc. etc.” and no, you get 2 trophies upon hitting level 70 and turning in the subsequent quest in Valdrakken. Why didn’t you argue against my crafting gear suggestion? All of the materials are available out in the world? Or are you now going to argue it’s too much of an expectation for a player to enter the open world for their gear??? Because if you want to be facetious, I can play too.
You know the answer. I know you know the answer. Blizz has a BG system in place that caters to lazy people that want to AFK on some node at level 70 for their honor set. And because I don’t pay for their sub, and HolyCow is a BG Forum white knight, I can’t bring it up as a legitimate issue.

I agree. You just said it too. We all know it’s “fastest” to AFK in BGs for 1-4 hours to get your full honor set. But that makes you selfish and a horrible teammate and Blizz currently has a BG system in place that encourages players to do this while other players suffer for it. Simply make an unrated BG queue for ALL BGs before and up to certain under geared level 70’s and give each class a template set or something. But these 7v10 “Random BGs” where one team has 3 people running around getting 2 shot isn’t it.

Random bgs are the usual method that people use to gear up for PvP. That’s why we get a lot of honor points there. To buy honor gear.
How do you get the quest that rewards the two trophies? From a quest item in the purple PvP box. How do you get the purple PvP box?
I did. IMO, you’re wasting a lot of gold considering all the gear will be replaced in a few hours.

Those under geared will do the same amount of damage in a siege or turret as anyone else.
I tried both methods and Epic was where I could atleast help the team while I was under geared. But you can’t help the lazy players and they come in many flavors.
I want to add, if Epics were popping in 61-69, that would also be a good alternative. But they almost never pop.
I’m unfamiliar with this “biden” fellow. Is he related to Anduin? Is he horde or Alliance?
