They farm honor before they hit 70.

Or they buy the green gear from the AH.

Or they get it crafted through Crafting Orders.

It depends on your realm group, they aren’t much more than 1k on mine.

And with crafting orders, you choose what they’re worth.

And most of the people I’ve seen in very low gear appear to have had their toon boosted. So they at least bought a token, surely they have change. Especially since the token is ~340k now.

they pvp from 65-70. get full hnr or atleast 10k, thats enough

But what about:

People who just didn’t want to PvP while leveling but want to get into it now.
People who tried to PvP while leveling but encountered very unfun matches, so they’d rather wait until 70 when it’s a little better balanced.
People who do not enjoy epic battlegrounds and want to play normal battlegrounds instead?
People who aren’t normally PvPers but have a friend who wants them to play PvP?

I see this “gatekeeping” for random battlegrounds on the forums here a lot, but honestly it’s not a big deal. If Blizzard got their act together and fixed the item leveling scaling floor in random battlegrounds to be closer to honor gear this would help.

If someone actually tried lower level bgs, they probably learned that broken OP toons are solo farming entire teams.

I don’t know why they’d start queuing for bgs again before level 70 when everything is telling them that lower level PvP is completely unbalanced.

Most people don’t start working on their character gear wise until they hit cap. I wouldn’t worry about it much, the same thing is happening on the other team as well. Plus, it’s random battlegrounds that’s what it is there for. On the flip side randoms are like normal and heroic dungeons for pve. No one cares about it.

Quite possibly the least efficient way of earning honor.

That’s taking a grind from a single evening to multiple weeks for no real reason.

Expecting others to play the game the way you want them to is the actual selfish part.
It’s random BGs. If you’re sweating over randoms then you need to do some introspection.
